TBF, Apple should've pulled the S3 from sale last year.

It's maybe ok for notifications etc, but as a standalone, forget it, the other models are way more capable and by it hanging about gives a negative impression of what it can do imo.

I'm not a sporty person, so only use it for apple pay (way more discreet than digging' the phone out), messages, notifications, HomeKit alerts (picture shows from camera if motion detected) and occasionally if I can't be bothered taking the phone with me, the cellular version connected to AirPods for streaming music (of which the sound for some strange reason is louder than the phone) and making / answering calls.

As always, ymmv, but once you find that one thing you use it for, you'll never go back.

New SE the cheapest AW now is 33% more expensive than series 3 price, not worth it at all, glad that got the 3 few months ago and did not wait.

You are missing a lot....

- Screen and refuse nuisance phone calls.
- Control music/CarPlay while driving.
- Voice text while driving.
- Ask for and view directions (while driving lol).
- Apple pay
- Control my HomeKit devices
- Check the time where my son lives so I don't wake him up when calling.
- Run my headphones (music and phone calls) while I am out mowing the lawn.
- Heart rate and occasional ECG.
- View my sleep and health stats while I was asleep.

And likely many more, love it and use it every day 24/7.

I even have a 2nd one, gold SS with leather band as a "fashion accessory".

I'll give you a reason to wear it. Get the app called 'Just Press Record'
you tap on the red icon and it starts recording when someone hits your car or you have some altercation. This starts recording audio and leaves your phone free to make video or photo and the other person has no idea you are recording audio in watch. So people will admit fault in case of accident but later deny it and you are stuck with paying the deductible even though you got rear ended. Just happened to me. Insurance asked for proof and showing photos and id and insurance photos weren't enough evidence if the other person doesnt admit fault. I learned that every single time people will admit fault for things and say they'll pay but later they deny and ignore. Having audio evidence helps your case and you are free to record in public legally. peopel are crazy these days. you never know when youll need to prove yourself innocent.

The Apple Watch isn't for everyone. 😌

I gave my mom my SE so she can put away the "Fitbit Versa 2" (hehehe) and I have been using a G Shock 5610 watch as my go to for telling time

For now I am taking a break from Apple Watch cause it's pretty high tech and taking care of something so vulnerable and important takes time and patience. Haha so I'm taking a break from the Watch scene for now

I will be back though..
