mine finally seated correctly today :)

Not sure what changed, maybe just warming up in my pocket for the past week loosened it up. Now just hoping the power button loosens up soon.

What do you think about the Casemate Tough Case compared to the Commuter? It looks like a very similar design.

Dont even want to hear about the cost

You want a case that WORKS Lifeproof! nuf said!!

So yea it cost way more than other cases but you don't have to worry about it working and the customer service is great.

And you're adding what to this thread?

Jeez...isn't there a Lifeproof thread that's like 40 pages long at this point? Why not go post there? Besides, if I wanted an ugly case that could survive a nuclear holocaust, I'd get the Defender.

I have to agree with KH on that. I tried some of the local AT&T stores and they only had the original first generation Commuters. Any other suggestions on places to try?

It's been about a week since I was in Best Buy, but at that time they still had the 1st gen ones. They may have gotten some of the newer ones in, though. Another thought...you could try a Verizon or Sprint store. Now that the Big 3 are carrying the 4S, I would suspect they'll all have some of the same cases.

Does this case attract dust and lint?

In my experience (2 years with one on a 3GS and the ones listed earlier for the 4S), they're not bad about attracting pocket lint or dust. Especially the newer ones with the firmer silicone. While the older ones' silicone was very slightly tacky, the newer ones have more of a soft plastic feel (although not firm enough to scratch the phone or anything like that). I've also found that if you find lint or dust on the silicone, just a quick puff of air from your mouth is enough to make it go away. It doesn't "stick" to the silicone, so to speak...it just kinda sits on it.

I had a commuter from ebay for $9.99...at first I though it was fake... but after reading this review... maybe its a real one... don't know... as long as it fits...

I sell them. I've never had a return with any case i've sold. I had one and loved it but it was for my black iphone4 then I got the white iphone 4 (now i have white iphone 4s) then gave it to my fiance who uses it now and he loves it.

With them not lining up right. I noticed when customer put them on their phone, they're not adjusting the plastic and silicone properly. Very common error.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Some cases you will love and you'll spend 10$ on them. Most of the time you'll spend more money on the one you'll keep and it will hold up the longest. That's why you should always try them on before you buy or verify the return policy before you purchase so you know you can return it without or with little penalty.

The manufacture cannot please everyone. but they do try.
