On my 3GS, I used Power Support Anti Glare screen protectors and loved them, but they do cut the resolution of the display down a bit, so with the 4S I'm just using some cheap crystal screen protectors I got from AT&T on launch day. However, I'm thinking about trying one of the iVisor AG removable/reusable screen protectors. Not cheap at $20-$25 for one, but it seems to get rave reviews, so I may just give it a go.

I love the clarity of crystal screen protectors, but man I hate the constant fingerprints! I've also heard a lot of good things about the SGP oleophobic, but I've never tried them myself.

Give that thread a read and you'll have a good idea of what people recommend. :D

Thanks, KentuckyHouse. I had read that thread but went through it again. The Moshi iVisor AG looks interesting, and I like the matte screen on my ThinkPad laptop, but what you say about cutting down the resolution on the iPhone is what I've read elsewhere, and gives me pause. The Retina display is one of the primary reasons I chose the 4S.

I thought about returning the OB Commuter and get the Defender for the front glass protection, but I like the size of the Commuter.

Ok. So a heads up for those interested in the iVisor AG. I love it. I've used it on two iPads and a previous iPad.

Now the big problem. it does not work with the commuter case. Because of the way it adheres only along the bezel, the sharp edge surrounding the screen of the commuter case picks up the iVisor protector. This happens because of the soft silicone which can be pushed in closer to the phone. if there was no give between the phone and the screen it would work, but when you pick the phone up, you in turn put pressure on the Moshi protector.

Hmm...I get what you're saying, but can you explain a little further? I only ask because I figured the iVisor would work great with the Commuter since the silicone sits on the top of the edges of the screen (thus, on top of the edges of the screen protector), rather than pushing on the edges of it. I've had cases in the past that had a sharp edge and "pushed" on the edges of the screen protector and made them bubble up, but with the Commuter, I've never had that problem.

I may give it a go anyway and see how my results are. But I'll be sure to ask at the AT&T store if I can return the iVisor if I get this problem. One thing is for sure...there's no way I'm NOT using my Commuter...lol.

Thanks for the heads up, lazybee. :D

Thanks, KentuckyHouse.

You're welcome, Broadus. That's what I love about the Commuter...it's a great compromise between protection and size. IMO, it's the perfect case. The one thing that always brings me back to it are the built-in port protectors, though. If I use a case without them, I'm always worrying about getting dirt or dust in there. I know...anal...but I like to protect my phone. :D

I'm sorry if my explanation was a bit clouded. So the deal is, the silicone is what causes the problem. Because it is soft an moves around a little, when you grip the phone in your hand, the sections near the volume/mute buttons and the opposite sides compress. This in turn forces the overhanging edge of the commuter silicone down and under the moshi ivisor. Now I highly doubt this was a one off occurrence. I ruined the moshi because of this. The slight crease this caused makes it so it cannot sit flat again.

Received my Commuter today and I am very disappointed. This is coming from someone who has used the Commuter for the 3GS.

The silion fit is very poor. In fact, I cannot even get one of the sides to stay above the screen. Almost as if it's still small.

In addition, the outer shell does not fit properly around one corner and the cut of the shell in our area is very rough and sharp.

It's definately going back.

I have the all black one and its ok..it's a little bigger than I expected..I'm waiting for the incase pro slider to go on sale to see how it compares..I would like something a little thinner

Thanks for the further explanation, lazybee. I heeded your advice and passed on the iVisor and instead went by the local Apple store and picked up a pack of the Power Support HD Anti-Glare screen protectors. I've used them in the past on my 3GS in conjunction with the Commuter, so I knew they were a safe bet! Good on ya for saving me a bit of money...lol. :D

BTW, off topic just a little bit, but I have to give a HUGE thumbs up to these PS HD Anti-Glare screen protectors! Man, they really did a great job making them less grainy for the Retina display (the ones on my 3GS weren't bad, but these are excellent!) While they still cut a tiny bit of the resolution of the display, it's still crisp and beautiful and AHHH...no glare! Love it. Plus, I've always loved the tactile feel of them (very smooth). Just wanted to throw that out there.

Any idea when these will hit Best Buy's and such? Or have they already?

flatline82, I've only been able to find the updated 4S version at one of my local AT&T stores. Even the biggest one in town still has the older version with the small camera/flash cutout. I tried Best Buy yesterday and they also still had only the older version. Maybe give AT&T or a Verizon store a try? I'm not sure.

I did order two more last night directly from Otterbox (I'm a case-a-holic)...the green/gray combo and the blue/white combo. I'll post up pictures when I get them in.
