Maybe I should really consider Seidio Rugged

With so many positive feedbacks and comments, I might really consider getting Seidio instead of what I initially shortlisted. :D

Anyone knows if the case is available in other colors?

Just laughning you foreigners love paying so much money for this cases.

Thanks for contributing to the thread.

As for the actual topic....

I have the Otterbox, and a coworker has the Ballistic. Both have their pro's and cons. For the Ballistic, the built in screen protector watermarks and scratches easily. His is about a week or two old now and it looks thrashed. But he can run the Ballistic without the silicone layer and it still provides protection.
The Otterbox picks up lint, and can be difficult to get out of a pocket. The holster seems decent, but the latch mechanism doesn't seem too secure.

It's amazing!
That case is looking very powerful, & it semms to be completely protect iphone.

Yes, it does. I sure it will perform well as a projectile weapon. :D The only draw back will be the unlatchable camera cover and the flimsy-looking holster. Other than this, I'll give it 5/5 stars for protection. Got a strong feeling that it will beat the defender hands down.

As for how much to pay for a case, it will individual to decide if the product is worthy of the price-tag.

Hey guys, let's be nice to one another. We all have our opinions. Chill~~

Yah, can't deny that possibility. If only they really do a outdoor public demo with random crowd witnessing the drops and throws, that will really help to boost their rugged claims on the case.

Sigh! Still haven't take the plunge on the case decision. The Seidio is nice but only black? Quite boring really. :(

I want my phone to look nice in that bulk too, so maybe the otterbox or kraken will be the way to go for me. :D

Now if I were to do a comparison, I would think the Otterbox to be a better lint magnet as to the kraken. Both has the front faceplate but I saw from a video that the proximity sensor actually didn't work with the otterbox. Can anyone verify this for me?Now if I were to look from the replaceable parts pov, it'll be +1 for the kraken again.

Anyone can share the quality of the outer silicone covers for the kraken and otterbox defender?

I'm really sorry for taking such a long time to decide on the case...

If you want style go for Survivor

Honestly, I've had the Survivor for almost 2 weeks now and it is a FAIL for me because:

1. Significantly more bulky then the Defender.
2. The added bulk and raised sides, along with the bevel on the screen make it more difficult to type, particularly on the bottom row.
3. The flap for the camera basically makes it unusable. Extremely frustrating.
4. Stylisically, the Defender keeps with the original contours of the iphone 4, while the Survivor looks more like a pudgy brick. Also, the defender shows off the Applie logo.
5. The Survivor belt clip is unusable.
6. The built in screen protector of the Survivor is less sensative then the Defender. Seems to be made out of a less maliable material.

Just my .02....

Those were some of my initial impressions when I first saw the Survivor. I think the Defender is a fine case because it meets protection as well as trying its best to retain the form of the phone itself.

No go for the Griffin Survivor

Ok then it's a no go for the survivor. How about the kraken? What are your opinions for this one? Little is mentioned of this case. I would like to know more about this kraken case.

I hce tried the Kraken. it stinks, it has very thin silicone.

I'm interested in this one as well. Right now they don't have it available for the VIP4. Since they had the Cyclops available I got that one. The only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't feel super protective and the rubber does move a little bit when I take it out of my pocket. If and when they make the Kraken for the VIP4 I think I would upgrade.

How's the quality of the plastic shell for the cyclops? And also what kind of screen shield does it uses? Hopefully no watermarkings.

I just got the cyclops yesterday for my VZW IPhone. The plastic part feels extremely sturdy and well put together. The silicone part was poorly designed.

Also, while your phone will fit into this case with a front/back clear protector on it, it will also leave ugly indentations in it as well (as I found out the hard way after only using it for a few hours).

Another things that bothers me about the Cyclops is the cutout for the home button...it's sort of annoying and I could totally see grime, dirty and crap getting caught in there. Taking the silicone off and breaking the case apart isn't easy, so cleaning underneath that front protector may be pretty rough...

I've bought like a dozen cases in the past 2 weeks, and I think I'm going to stick with my Defender, however, I will seriously look into the Commuter when it becomes available for the VZW Iphone. If you have an ATT verision, you may definately want to look into the Commuter ASAP. I beleive they have them regularly in-stock at Radio Shack.

The commuter for at&t actually fits just fine. I was just at best buy and I tried the case out and I liked it better than the defender. The defender kinda screwed up my lucky labs spectra wrap.

Is your defender outer silicone skin really lint-catchy and stretches out easily as many complained and whined about?

This are the 2 top complaints about the defender that I have heard about, not too sure if they are having a knock-off or original defender. Also, is the built inferior compared to the 3G/3GS version?
