Otterbox offers great protection, I would rather break my phone then have it in 1 of those big cases though.

how come on their site its still in preorder while on amazon its already in stock.

I'm getting mine on Wednesday, Otterbox would have sent my order in a few weeks
. Only difference from Amazon & Otterbox is the limited selection of colors on Amazon.

Amazon is delivering my Otterbox Defender for my Iphone 5 on Wednesday. I don't know why they are shipping faster than Otterbox.
I ordered the defender from Otterboxes website the day the iPhone 5 was announced but after seeing this thread, I ordered it on amazon a couple days ago and it was just shipped out today and since I am a PRIME member, it looks like I may receive it as early as tomorrow woot. I'll post pics once I get it.

mine came in from Amazon- super fast delivery- nice.
being as im a belt chip user this improved design made he happy- the rubber is totally different- its very hard not spongy or soft at all- it will work fine if you want to just slip in your pocket- not like the old defenders

Meh I deal with this every time Otterbox makes a new case. The coolest color combination is always either
1) not available at BestBuy
2) never available at launch
