I actually found my UPS guy in my neighborhood on the way to the Apple store to get a leathere case for my 6+. I asked him if he could give me my phone and although he did verify I was getting a shipment today he couldn't find it amongst the million boxes he had in the truck:(. Oh well at least I know it's coming and told him to definitely leave it at the front door in case I have to step out.

I have a buddy that's a UPS driver and he says that's the hardest part of 'Apple launch days'. He gets stopped on his route by people wanting their stuff early. He wants to help - but verifying an ID and searching the truck slows him down. It would be fine it was one person....but it ends up happening all throughout the day....

Mine said it was on the truck for delivery at like 2am but still nada. :( Really wish I had changed my status to "Hold at Will Call" yesterday as I'd have had it for hours now. :(

Always have had packages say out for delivery around 7:00am. Don't usually get my packages until 5-6pm.

How would he know that the packages he's delivering are iPhones? Unless each person is telling him ?

The box is so signatured... You will know once you see it.

Besides, Logic tells you that since it is on 9/19, you deliver some 12 similar boxes, each requires signature, and the recipient are so eager waiting for you, and it is from Apple.

I'm under the Murphy's Law Rule. My Wife's 6 came in around 11am via Fedex(AT&T). I'm still waiting for my 6+ via UPS (Apple). Of course, any other package would be here by now as they have in the past. 4:17 and I wait....

My iphone 5 was Out for Delivery, and got stolen off the UPS truck. So calm down people, you'll get your phones. Unless they got stolen..

I live in a new development where they are still building houses. I am looking out my window like every 5 seconds because I keep hearing trucks.

Well, on the bright side, most of us on this thread can be thankful that we are in the first wave....albeit, literally waiting till "delivery by END of the day".

3:34pm and opted to work from home today for whenever UPS swings by. I work nearby and UPS usually swings by the office around 4-5pm, so I hopefully will have an update any minute :)

Edit: As SOON as I posted this, it came! LMAO

It's almost 2, but like I said, I probably have another 6 hours or so. Maybe I should watch the Godfather trilogy or something... :)

Ok, got it at 15 minutes ago! :D  I am so glad I was home though because the driver did not knock, and just left it outside my door without requiring signature.

UPS is by far the worst company to wait on in my experience. I'm sure they'll show up at the latest possible time.

"Out for delivery" since 4:37am.

It is now 1:37pm here in Long Beach, and I'm still waiting. The problem is that UPS delivers to my house at random times, so I have no way to predict when they'll be here today. I live across the street from an elementary school, so it's generally before 4pm, but not always.

I've been on tenterhooks all day. :(

Mine was finally delivered about 15 minutes ago. The UPS driver actually honked when he pulled up and when I didn't rush to the door right away but instead let him knock, he actually laughed and said that most people were waiting for him at the door today.

The drivers still seem very upbeat and pleasant today although I'm sure they're flustered, tired and busy.
