Out for delivery... Still waiting. Anyone else?

"Out for delivery" since 4:37am.
It is now 1:37pm here in Long Beach, and I'm still waiting. The problem is that UPS delivers to my house at random times, so I have no way to predict when they'll be here today. I live across the street from an elementary school, so it's generally before 4pm, but not always.
I've been on tenterhooks all day.

It's okay, at least you don't have a dad that got his at his office at 10am... I think ours was on the same truck too... Worst of it, his office is 2 miles away from me.
Was just on the phone with UPS, and now they're telling me that a delay last night puts a delay on delivery until the next business day. Monday.
Also in So Cal and waiting. UPS guy is usually here around 1-2pm. There was a UPS truck that pulled up in front of our apartment complex around 9am but I had no knock on my door.
My UPS tracking number says its still out for delivery. Getting impatient haha.
UPS dude called me personally to let me know his was coming. About 415pm he showed up. I got my phone in hand now. I was a little nervous of arrival time. Usually UPS delivers about 11am,yet I understand because of today. I did notify UPS that the driver was really helpful. Thanks out there Brandon.
It will be interesting to read what the latest is that someone gets a delivery! Supposedly, they do not stop until the truck is empty.

True! My uncle used to drive for UPS. I know they've had a hell of a day! I would beer my driver if I could !!!
UPS has a general policy of delivering to residents not until end of day, as you might have noticed on your tracking information, they make all deliveries to businesses first. The only way UPS will show up at a resident early is if the shipping cost for the package was for something like priority overnight or next day, and not even next day saver service that they have. Fedex is different, phones were shipped out on a service call Standard Overnight, which mean that the delivery will be made by 3PM to most places or earlier. My beauiful iPhone 6 was shipped via Fedex and was delivered at 1:20PM, no signature required but the wife was home to get it at the front door.
Well, I guess Next Day Air has a definition UPS doesn't understand.
Been on hold with Apple for an hour and 15 minutes trying to see what's going on. The UPS person could only tell me exactly what my UPS screen is showing me.
A tad irritated at what has turned into a predominately wasted day due to having to schedule around the UPS delivery that may ultimately not arrive.
