I would say generally yes, but in the past getting an iPhone from AT&T Premier via Fedex: no signature required. If it was from the Apple store via FedEx then it always needed a signature.
This time I went thru the Apple store and it seems like most are shipped UPS with signature required. You can pre-sign for it thru the apple store and leave it on your door and they will leave it.
Yes, (actually, Apple requires Fedex to obtain a signature). You can get a copy of the pre sign authorization from apple.com (assuming that's where you preordered). It's up to the driver's discretion whether or not to leave the package.
Yeah, mine is out for delivery here in Honolulu as well! It only took three days to get here, going from China to Hong Kong, Alaska, Kentucky, California, then finally here. It's been out for delivery for about 2 1/2 hours already - I'm getting really antsy waiting for it

same here. to make matters worse, i live on the one street that doesn't have speed bumps, so everyone uses my street as a cut-through.
oh, and it's trash day in my neighborhood. everytime i hear the sound of a big diesel truck...

mine just came!!!!! the UPS driver said that he had to sign to get my package and also had to call his headquarters once they delivered my iphone!!!!

Same here, and we had garbage pickup today. Odd, but when the truck did show up, I never heard it: the driver had to ring the doorbell.
Yeah! Mine came at 3! I asked the UPS driver if he was the most popular guy around today, and he said "Yeah...I've got about 90 of these onboard right now."
I have to say...the white by itself doesn't look quite as sharp as the black...but when I put it in my dark gray Cygnett bumper, it looks very sharp. I'm restoring from backup now and should be up and running soon, hopefully.

For those who have not received their iphones yet from UPS.
I have been waiting all day and checking the door every time I head something, but nothing until 5 min ago I saw the UPS guy but he did not knock in my door but at my neighbours and went I ran after him asking for my package. He said he does not have it but he said he would call someone else and check, he called the other guy who also delivers in the same route. Guess what, it was supposed to be on his truck but he does not have it, now its misplaced. I asked Gene ) my ups driver) buddy I have been waiting for this iphone and asked him to do something, he said that they will deliver it by today 7pm, I said hey I need to go out by 4:30 and don't wanna wait until Monday, he told me to come and pick it up at the hub.
I would suggest that you call up your hub offices and check where your package is. Hope this helps someone

Any luck with yours yet? I still haven't received mine. I'm not in Chula Vista though, I'm in San Diego.
I'm starting to think I'm not going to get my phone today. It left the Schaumburg, Illinois facility at 7 this morning which is 20 minutes from my house. I was expecting a quick delivery but it is almost 3, and it is supposed to be here before 3.

No one comes down my street except for the locals, and yet today a big Semi must have taken the wrong turn. I heard the air brakes as he took the corner and got all excited! Dang it!
The worst part is I got an email from UPS saying it would be delivered by 2:45. Now it's looking like it'll be here at the typical 5:30-6:00 time slot, or later!
Same here. It think it'll get here, but my wife wants to go to a party at 6. It's gonna be down to the wire!
Where in Seattle are you? I live downtown but my phone is being delivered to my parents house in West Seattle.
