HTC announces which devices to get Ice Cream Sandwich

After less than a year you can forget about your device running the latest Android version. Of course, you can root your device and run some unsupported ROM. Unreal.

Apple supports their devices for around three years. THAT is value.

So...now Microsoft is more innovative because their support is even longer, and they have even more sales, correct?

All in all LTD I have to say you are doing a lot of people a great favor.
Your stupid posts create nice response wave with clarification to what ever crap you came up with. In the end thx to you a lot more people will be able to see the truth about iStuff.

That's some irony don't you think rofl.

They stated first wave. Do you know what that means?

And obviously since you wrote (red part)... Where's Siri for my iP4?

It means "don't hold your breath", or "sometime between maybe and never."

It's typical HTC double-speak. We've seen it plenty of times before.

That's no problem. Do respond! That's what it's all about.

You responses are here for all to see. And so is my original post.

So based on legacy support, Microsoft is more innovative?

HTC isn't the only Android handset manufacturer.

Apple has done their share of telling people things that are "coming soon" and at best is nebulous on dates.

But Apple will get your free pass, right?

Great.

You didn't respond.

As for apple device support here's some thought from another fanboy apple site. Awesome device support

Since i cant contact most of the people using it, and thus need a fall back solution anyway, its not more usable at all. Its just the usual Apple bs. Really. Stop making excuses for it.

I actually dont know a single person who has Facetime/iMessage that use it. They all use "something else".

I don't think you're actually considering how iMessage works - it uses existing contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) to divert SMSs away from the carriers' billing departments. So, without signing up for a new service and getting new credentials and having to worry about installing a new app, simply buying and configuring an Apple ID on a new iOS device will save people money and increase functionality. Do you have and a friend you used to SMS have iPhones? You're both probably using iMessage without knowing it. Plus, on the 4S, iMessage got first dibs on (and potentially will be the only messaging app to be integrated with) Siri. That's what I was getting at when I said it had superior usability. It also gives delivery confirmation, allows transferring pictures, and updates conversations across devices. I'm not making excuses for anything.

So a little less than 10% of the "99%" have iPhones, which are pure luxury items
I'd like to see those protesters deal with some 3rd world country...

Microsoft supports their products for double that. Now that is value. Apple isn't even in the same league as far as support goes.

No, Microsoft does not support their devices
Where were they when my cousin's brand new XBOX 360 got a red ring? He had to pay them to fix a defect. What's up with the DOCX format? It's the same as DOC but doesn't work in the old Office. And when's the last time you've ever gotten legitimate tech support for Windows?

And if you call new apps still working on XP "support", that's because the new OSs are not really different. That's why I stay at XP instead of paying $200-$400 for the new OS :D

I agree that Apple support is one of the best, but Siri is just annoying. They didn't want to give it free in iOS 5 (understandable), and they want you to get the 4s since there aren't any real reasons to get it, so they make it 4s only (a Microsoft move). Oh well, the more models that come out, the cheaper I can buy an old model that's almost as good as a new model :D
