I'm personally willing to wait a while yet. Having recently read that MDP will move industry-wide, I expect the future will yield a great range of choices in displays without need for cumbersome adapters. My clients at my studio still see graphic work on the plasma with the Apple TV, and that is probably robust enough for the time being. The primary motivation for me to get the ACD was for ease of client interactivity, as I expand my operation. Right now I'm in a transitional period relocating from New York to Philadelphia and its a good time for me to sit and evaluate my needs and how to meet my clients needs, so a change of plans for equipment isn't bad for me right now.

This is all very helpful. One thing I just learned is that the 30 ACD wont show BluRay. Is that correct? From my MBP?

Then there's all this hubub about TN versus ISP (IPS?) that I'm learning about.
Yeesh.

Oh, that's interesting. So much for that Snow White re-release. Oh well.
Anyway, I just went down to my mac local mac store and checked out a 30"
I just wish that mac would give some kinda indication on when new monitors might be available. The 'rumors' portion of this site has been stating that no one should by mac monitors for a while now.

OS X can't play Blu-ray movies with HDCP. The Cinema Displays can't play Blu-ray movies with HDCP at all.

The 24in LED ACD has HDCP... but without Windows, you won't be watching a bluray movie on your Mac anytime soon. Then there's the whole external bluray drive debacle. God forbid anyone makes a bluray drive that fits and works inside a Macbook.
