Jumping to conclusions and assuming that it's a hardware issue that affects ALL iPhone 6 Pluses is doing nothing to help either.
If you have an issue, report it to Apple or take it into the closest Apple store. Blathering on and on about it on the internet does nothing.

No, calling attention to it on Apple's discussion forums helps bring the issue to public attention.

There's PLENTY of discussion about this issue here. Don't be upset that MR decided to write an article about a trending issue. It's all about calling attention to it, not hiding it.

Is this some kind of issue that only shows up over time? Why hasn't it been a topic in the iphone forum? Why are we only hearing about it now? I have a 128 6 with no issues. Is a problem coming down the road?

No issues here so far. Using about half storage and 45 apps. Just still getting 5-7 MBps down and up at best. AT&T sucks here.

It could be over time. The Samsung EVO issues didn't appear until later and people noticed their Read/Write rates plummeting.

I don't have reboot issues with my 6 128, but I do have freezing issues, where as I'm in an app or the homescreen it just locks up and takes a minute or two for normal operation to start.

I've experienced this a few times myself. As for reboots, I haven't seen any of those. I do have about 75gb free.

not here

I have seen more than the usual iphone reboots with my 128 gb 6+, but i attributed that to a buggy iOS. No boot loops yet (knock on wood, throw salt, etc)

I do see sometimes where the phone becomes unresponsive for a few seconds or even minutes. sometimes it comes back, sometimes it reboots.

I sometimes ge the crashes and/or boot issues (perhaps once every 3 days)? I have a gold 128gb 6 plus. And no, I'm not imagining this. I just didn't take care before I read the article in question.

Random scenario: taking a photo (happened last sunday during gold), i get the apple logo (thinking it's restarting) but it just loops in a couple of seconds.

Yep! 6+ 128Gb here and I get 3-4 crashes a day where the screen goes gray then shows the apple logo and restarts. Definitely something wrong. We'll see what develops.

The only thing I find interesting in this report is the different NAND flash being used.
Has anyone bothered to test the performance differences between the 64gb model and the 128gb model?

If the 64gb model is noticeably faster, I might save the 100$ and stick with that model again.

500+ apps? Good grief, how can you even remember what you have installed and what they are for? :D

Heck if I know. I suspect most of these folks probably only use maybe 50 of the apps at any time and probably only maybe 10 of them on a daily basis. But they insist on having that much with them all the time.

No issues with my 128 GB 6. I have to reboot every time I want it to wireless sync, and it always boots up fine. I have 53 GB free.

Anandtech did their first analysis of NAND performance but didn't breakdown between storage capacities. The 6/6+ are largely the same at least between the same capacity.

I have the 128GB space gray iPhone 6 and haven't had any issues, but I also have FAR less than 500 apps installed.

If it were, as some have suggested, that the 128 is using a different storage and its defective somehow then you would likely see issues as well.

And you bring up a good point with automatic updates. That is another question to ask. Is it on and is there any correlation between crash occurrences and something updating.
