My MBP's status was just updated, when would you guys say it'll be here? Why can we not go and pick it up on Saturday if it gets to the sorting facility? It says you can on FedEx's site -- but you have to call ahead and bring identification.

6lon

That is for packages where FedEx has already made a delivery attempt. When your MBP comes in on Sat it not going to be offloaded from the truck until about 5am Monday. It will be at the station, but it won't be in the station. And that is why you won't be able to pick it up on Sat. But don't take my word for it. Call up FedEx when your MBP arrives at the station and see if you can pick it up. If they say yes, run, don't walk, over.

Is that mean I have a chance to get it tomorrow in Toronto???

I was hoping to get mine tomorrow. But for some reason, mine says it will come next Tuesday when I ordered it wednesday.

ahhh. mine is just now "in transit".
i reallly want it by monday, but now its saying estimated Oct 22 by 12PM.

has anybody gotten it earlier than estimated??
i ordered tuesday night so i don't know why it would take like over a week to get here especially since i paid for expediated shipping. i might have to call for a refund! taking too long (over 2-3 days since shipping)

I've gotten things earlier then the estimated date a lot of times... my estimated delivery date right now says Tuesday too, but it also just got to my local FedEx facility which is like 10 minutes away from where I live so I really doubt it will be Tuesday.

FedEx has 4 days to deliver your package from the time they pick it up, notwithstanding any delivery exception beyond their control. The estimated delivery time is just a drop dead time. Of course they will deliver sooner if possible. They are a delivery company, not a storage company.

Apple does not pay FedEx to deliver on Sat. Monday would be the soonest, assuming it's at the station by then.

So i guess that thing about memphis isn't true. It went straight from Alaska to Oakland. Hopefully in a few hours it will be at my local place and i can go pick it up.

No, its not. mine went from Alaska to Newark and from there to Toronto...

Mine went directly from Alaska to Minneapolis, where their sorting/delivery facility is. Hoping to see it on Monday -- I called FedEx and the representative was kind and helpful in helping me get a priority notice on the shipment, but they can't do anything if the crate its in isn't delivered to the distribution center before Tuesday.

what does getting priority notice mean?

i orderd mine on the 16th, it said this morning that it missed the cut off, but they updated it and it now says in transit!?!

Mine also arrived in Oakland. I only live and hour away...its coming closer!!!!

Mine is in LOS ANGELES today, that is the final destination since I live here. I still don't understand why the delivery is estimated for tuesday and not for monday. :(

my tracking also shows that it has left the oakland facility. i'm hoping i get it monday if that's the case (i live about 1 hour away from there)
