And a price drop.

The 5C isn't the new thing. It's the 5S with its new processor, new camera (with new flash system), and new fingerprint sensor.

Seriously, these sarcastic posts about Apple adding colors to the line-up as being the only new thing are getting old.

So pretty much what every phone for the last year has had (except the fingerprint thing and to be honest, who cares about that)

Only thing they haven't done yet is NFC, but I suppose that will be seen as a huge break through for apple fanboys.

Look I own just about everything apple, but the people who just go nuts over the smallest things drive me nuts.

You will not be able to notice any speed difference, hell it has been a struggle for me since the 4. Yes it opens things up quicker but it isn't night and day difference. It will never be that way in the ios system.

So basically we will probably get better battery life, a good thing, and colors. Wow, again nothing ground breaking here.

You also mention price drop, are you talking about the subsidized price or overall phone price? And do you know that for sure?

Now these colors look MUCH better than the last leak. There was no way those childish looking pastel colors were real.

At first I thought the same but the I realized that these photos are probably of bad quality, in other terms too dark. If you compare the iOS7 home screen with official Apple screenshots, you will notice that the official colors are much brighter. So in reality the phones' backs are most likely much brighter, too.

I'm here sitting on my 4S. So where is your confidence now?
If the 5S won't have worthy NEW things besides hardware updates i will buy a 5.

I am also sitting here with my 4S, what is your point?

I am also extremely confident that I would never consider buying a 5 and that people who would (when the 5S is released), would do so because of financial limitations. Otherwise you would probably already own an iPhone 5 at the moment. A factor in my case is that it is not a relatively significant upgrade over the 4S. The 5S will be a significant upgrade of the 4S, they always are and more so that the 5.

Regarding what you call "worthy NEW things"..., I am guessing you will overlook processor speeds increased battery life etc and will still only focus on gimmicks, like retina scanners and if it can make a latte? :)

Everybody know's that the S is just the 'Golden master' of the 'Beta'..., version of a phone release and why I (and many others) now purchase S models.

You will still buy the 5S, or at worse the 5 [your words not mine], so I was not wrong at all. :p

I wouldn't be caught dead with those ugly devices. How about making the face match the rest of the phone?

I dunno… having color matching bezels would be pretty hideous. I think white would have been a better choice (at the very least on the white 5C).

That poster is either trolling or is 12 years old.Last week he said the gold 5s was for black people. So I'm not really surprised at that post.

No not 12 years old, he/she opened their MR account in 2005. So that would make the person 13, if they signed up to MR at birth. :D

PBF is either Trolling, or a racist homophobe take your pick.

Nah i don't have financial limitations, trust me. But my 4S is already falling to pieces and needs replacement and the 5 will get some decent discounts.

Yes. 100% yes. I like gimmicky new features and design changes. These are major selling points for ME!

To your last point, yes the S always is improved. I really hope for a better anodization method.

No one's going "nuts" over anything. The colors are the ONLY thing that people have to talk about since it's the only thing leaked. Thus, it's only natural for people to talk about that.

You will not be able to notice any speed difference, hell it has been a struggle for me since the 4. Yes it opens things up quicker but it isn't night and day difference. It will never be that way in the ios system.
You're assuming (and I don't know why) that the processing needs in the FUTURE will remain the same. Apple may have plans for the iOS that require a faster processor. Like fingerprint authentication, which is a much bigger deal than you seem to think. You don't appear to have thought through the disruption potential of a fingerprint sensor that works well, consistently, and reliably.

So basically we will probably get better battery life, a good thing, and colors. Wow, again nothing ground breaking here.
Why does the 5C need to be groundbreaking? The 5C (based on known rumors) was designed to be competitive in emerging market nations. How is the 5C with its colors any worse than simply taking the previous phone and lowering it by $100, which is what they did with the 4S, 4, and 3GS? By introducing the 5C, Apple can eliminate the 3.5" screens. This serves two purposes: 1) developers can focus on app UI's specifically suited for the 4" screen, 2) drive upgrades from people who are still on the 4S, 4, and 3GS.

You also mention price drop, are you talking about the subsidized price or overall phone price? And do you know that for sure?
Both. The overall phone price should be lower by $200-250. This would also lower the subsidized price. Carriers will pay $450 per phone regardless of the phone. For them, the phone doesn't matter because they recoup their money on monthly costs at the same rate regardless of the phone (data rate plans are the same whether it's a high end phones vs their cheapest phones).

So if the price of an unlocked 5C is $450, the subsidized price *should* be free. I say "should" because this is all based on educated guesses based on what they've done before. And no, I don't know all that for sure. Just like you don't know that colors are the ONLY thing that's going to be different in the 5C.

Likely the best option out of the odd two tone mismatched iPhones. Plus it's black, hard to get that wrong.

but would you buy that iPod touch if it was these colors? i mean with the iPod touch it was the better choice of the two. black should remain black and imo schould not be mixed with other colors

To your last point, yes the S always is improved. I really hope for a better anodization method.

true imo the # is always the try out models... the s models are what they should be.

You're looking at the top of the box, it's just upside-down. You can see the ear speaker slot behind that watermark.

Pretty certain they would put the logos right way round on both ends of the box..... ? you look at the other image with all the different colours in their boxes, and the apple logo is the right way round on the end nearest the home button of the phone... spin the box round, why would they put the apple logo the wrong way round on that side?

...why would they put the apple logo the wrong way round on that side?
If the phones were standing upright on a shelf (front facing you) the top of the case showing the apple logo would also appear to be facing you (in other words, it's the right way round when you're looking at it that way).

I think that's why...

Am I the only one that detests the background-color of the stickers? It makes it look so ugly!

Economics in practice, I guess. When you release a premium and lower cost product, you tend to go out of your way to make the lower cost product 'less attractive' to make sure those who would have gone for the premium product stick to it.

In software development for instance, you will sometimes find that the stripped version of a piece of software technically costs more than the full version to produce, because it involves additional work/code done to restrict features.

Maybe the boxes are supposed to be displayed upright, in which case the logo would be oriented towards you if you look at it from above (and from below)

Kind of a trivial thing to base fakeness on, though...

Nope, done already too. The latest iteration came from Motorola Atrix 4G in 2011.

I don't get how or why this fingerprint sensor is such a big deal. Been done already, wasn't anything great. But I guess if Apple does it, it'll be magical..

So, no FaceTime in iPhone 5C? Maybe these are fake "i-Phones"

Huh? Are you referring to it not being on the Homescreen? It's on the second page with Voice Memos. They put an app or two on the second page to indicate to people that, "Hey, there's pages!"

I'm probably one of those strange people that still uses their phone to just ring/text people.
So guess what? My iPhone 3G still does that!!
Yay...I don't need a new phone.

:D:D

Sadly I think the blue will be more like:

Based on:

When they should have gone more like:

Instead of this fluro / pastel crap.

:(

I take it back - blue seems to be consistent with:

iPhone-Plastique-Couleurs-Photo.jpg

Maybe the icons appear darker from CMYK printing onto plastic / sticker..

iMacs have been plastic. Macbooks have been plastic. iPhones have been plastic.

Ever since Apple started using aluminium, have they ever turned back to plastic for their flagship products? The keyword that you used is "have been". When plastic was the best they could do, they used plastic. When plastic was no longer the best, they stopped using it.

The fact that they are releasing an gimped, inferior product made of plastic just to gain market share in the lower-end smartphone smartphone is something that Apple would never have done under Steve's leadership.

We'll see after the announcement. Last minutes rumors tend to be accurate and I believe this leaks will be the 5c final packaging.

The death of iPod Touch is inevitable.

Yeah we'll have to see. I just think they are fake because of the i0S7 colours covering the screens.

I have to disagree that the iPod Touch death is inevitable.
