Packaged iPhone 5C Surfaces Again in Multiple Colors, Video Shows Powered-On Unit

To all the people leaving negative comments about the 5C, this will be Apple's best selling product ever. Colours sold logos, computers, iPods in the past for apple, what is different here? A lower priced iphone that will draw people in droves, this product is no joke. I'll be getting one because I can almost guarantee it will be more comfortable to hold because of the curved back, and it won't require a stupid case to protect the back and edges from scratching and denting. If you have enough spare $$$ to rock the 5 and 5s caseless, all the power to you, it is a classy design, but the ergonomics stink. I'm hoping the 6 will iron out this flaw. In the meantime 5c for me.

The plastic back is not a shell added to the phones body, it is the unibody enclosure that gives all the parts inside a structure to hold on. Everything is screwed into this plastic back and everything needs to be screwed out, if you just want to change the color of the back. You will need to choose one color and stick with it.

makes sense. i guess i was hoping that apple might go crazy and actually use a shell for its back rather than being unibody. there goes the dream of a battery swap around for a bigger capacity variety :p
 
Now we just have to "pretend" to look surprised when the iPhone is release at the next Keynote....

OK, so when Tim Cook comes on stage with the new iPhone 5C....(quiet on the set everyone, camera's rolling )

The backs look quite 'Nokia' in appearance.

Looking forward to the announcement but I wonder if the 5C release will mean an increase in the sale price of the 5S? I can't imagine the 5C will be cheap but they will still want the 5S model to be a real 'premium' option and having them priced too close might just make it not quite so premium!
 
The green one is as fake as fake gets.
It's some case in an iPod touch packaging.
What's with the protruding green upstand around the edge of the screen.
However, iPhone 5C is a good idea.
 
Does that blue iphone background look like its slightly textured? Like canvas almost.. that would make sense with parallax, a single colour wouldn't work..

That was the first thing I noticed; it's textured, not just a single color. So it would work with the parallax, although subtle.

I quite like the iPhone 5C. If it were aluminium, these phones would have a large plastic section on the back for the antennas, like with the first iphone. So I understand they made it a plastic back. If it is scratch proof, I don't care. I do care about the price; make it reasonable, like when the first iPad was introduced and the $499 price caught everyone off guard.

First off the the video looks like a hacked about Android interface, doesn't look responsive or very well refined. Either that or iOS 7 has borrowed the Android look and feel?

Second, Steve must be rolling in his grave at the thought of this limp coloured iPhone mockery. I know we had multi coloured iMacs back in the day but the world has moved on, are multi coloured cheap iPhones a major selling point?

Please let it be that this product is for developing countries and not a long awaited main product.

I can't believe Apple would spend time on this. If released the world will think they have given up.

Totally agreed. It's the first time that I see Apple making something as a response to other products/companies (Samsung) and not try to do something completely different. Plus, it's ugly. MAN it's ugly!

If the 5S won't have worthy NEW things besides hardware updates i will buy a 5.

Personally I think that the silence will be deafening, perhaps few polite claps, but that's about it... Then iPhone 5S will be demonstrated with the same screen size and form factor as iPhone 5 to complete the most embarrassing moment for Apple and all it's devotees.

Why would it be? It's just exactly the same as 3GS for 3G and 4S regarding i4 (although I agree with you it SHOULD be like you state, don't get me wrong)

Likely the best option out of the odd two tone mismatched iPhones. Plus it's black, hard to get that wrong.

Ugly ? You mean compared to the blink-blink-do-not-touch poser look of glass and polished metal/paint ?

When it comes down to just looks, I would allways take this over on 4,4s or 5.

It is also true that Apple has saturated the "will pay 600++ for a status-symbol phone once a year" market, while loosing ground on the more cost-sensetive markets where they sofar only sold old models.

So yes this could be as important as the orginal iMac or iBook (and man those were really fugly !!!).

Well I'm not sure if anyone has commented on this yet... Don't think apple would get their own logo the wrong way round on the box (photo with green iPhone).

Officially fake then.
