As a relative Mac newbie, that sounds a little ambitious for me. Maybe another 10 years down the line 😀

I would pay someone to do it for me before I even tried! But if you search around online you can read about a few people that have made their own macbook pieces!

Well I've got Snow Leopard on it after a smooth upgrade, now my 1.83 Macbook is like brand new, inside and out! Ready for my move to Japan, in one week!

No not at all the top came out perfect but the bottom pieces were black for a long time but have now turned a dark green-ish color (I think because of the heat from the computer itself?!) but I will upload pictures in just a minute!

am going to go your route or i might just prim and paint it,. not a hard just IMO. my keyboard and lcd bezel is cracked so i'll replace them while am at it..

i like it alot, theres aload of good mods out there! did you change the whole lcd cover (top lid) and keyboard cover) or just the keyboard and trackpad assembly and the screen bezel?

I started with a white core duo Macbook, and replaced the top and bottom lid, basically requiring a complete disassembly of the computer. Had I just done the top case (keyboard and trackpad) and lcd bezel, it would have been much easier, but I wanted it black on the outside with white on the inside.

Awesome job on the Panda MB. What part of Japan are you moving to?

Thanks! I'm studying at a university in Tokyo. Hopefully I'll find some good parts for the Macbook!
