OK here's how you get back to the old version of Pandora skip hack, with no ads or commercials and unlimited skips

Remove ALL pandora and pandora skip hacks from your phone

Install Pandora 3.1.4 or 3.1.5 - get these versions through Installous

download this to your phone
http://www.multiupload.com/6B8C210MZL

use iFile or SSH and install the .deb into var\mobile

Restart (may not be necessary) and enjoy ;)

Wait, so it's not cool to discuss installing pirated apps using installous but it's okay to discuss ways to screw Pandora?

Agreed. Pandora pays money based on the number of songs they start for you, so skips add to the total music they report played to license holders. Taking the benefit of that money Pandora pays on your behalf, and denying them ad revenue (which is the end result if advertisers walk away) is the same as piracy in my view. If you don’t think the service is worth the cost (either in money, or in ads, or in limits that control what Pandora has to pay out on your behalf), then just don’t use it.

Bandwidth, servers and staff aren’t free either. Ad removal without paying will not keep Pandora around for you.

As for skips, I sympathize and I wish paid users had completely unlimited skips (although I use Pandora constantly and hit the limit maybe once a month myself). But if the price Pandora charges is too low to cover unlimited song-starts, then it’s still piracy. Ask Pandora for a higher-priced option and hope they can deliver, or ask the license-holders to be kinder to Pandora. Until they can offer a service you find to be a good buy, don’t be a customer. Protest by boycott, not by piracy.

(For the record, here are Pandora’s limits for free vs. paid.)

* Skip All Day Long: With the standard ad supported version of Pandora you're limited to 12 total skips per day. With Pandora One you'll be able to skip as many times per day as you'd like (note you will still be limited, thanks to licensing constraints, to six skips per hour).

Yes. Is that okay with you?

Did I imply you needed my approval?

My point, to those who have not paid for a Pandora subscription, they should not be trying to circumvent the advertisments. Not sure what you assumed I'm meant, but there it is.

Nice and thoughtful response Nagromme. I was too lazy. ;)

ladies ladies, lets just drop the topic of if this is right or wrong. personally its a debate that wont end as there are two sides and there will always be two sides. my personal take on this is that is MR didnt approve of a thread, it would have or will get closed.

My main point is the more people that use hacks to get rid of Pandoras ads and commercials the less revenue they'll make and the more likely they'll have to shut down. They're already having a tough time staying afloat.

I would have no problem with paying an annual fee every year if it meant pandora staying afloat, it's an amazing app.

The ads and commercials keep Pandora streaming. What do people not understand about that?

Agreed. If you can't cough up $36 a year for Pandora One...the irony being you are using an expensive high-end smartphone and undoubtedly spending thousands per year on service for it.

That said, I do think it is kind of cheesy that even after paying the yearly rate, you are still limited on the skips. They should be unlimited as well. But that isn't Pandora's choice, it is in their contracts with the studios.

Pandoras latest version is 3.1.9. If you upgraded it or have the latest version, it may not work.

Can anyone confirm that the latest Pandora skip hack doesn't work on the latest pandora (v3.1.9)? I've been searching and haven't been able to find anything...

I also use music control Pro going back to a previous version of Pandora. MCP never works only works with current version. I love my MCP more then the skip hack. if anybody knows a walk around it would b awesome so I can have both. I have pandora one so commercials aren't a issue.

I've purposely avoided upgrading from 3.1.8 to 3.1.9 because the hack doesn't work with 3.1.9. I've come to realize how disruptive the 5 limit skip is to my listening enjoyment (especially given I pay the $36 annual fee for premium service), and I have no intention of going back.
