People are driving to Gamestop and buying stuff. I can't think of a single business model where businesses expand because people hate the products or food they offer.

Neither Gamestop nor Panera is expanding. People don't want to go either of their locations unless they have to. Even employees don't want to go to Panera, which is why they have a 100% employee turnover per year.

I found the food expensive but I really liked some of the items on the menu. I don't go very often. The 3% back is cool! There are TONS of these restaurants? in California here.

I have an Apple Card but have yet to figure out how daily cash works. Nothing shows up in my app about it.

I admit to going to Panera occasionally and think this is good news. More places to get 3% back is always welcome.

That said, I just wish their self-order kiosks actually had NFC turned on. The terminals they use for those definitely have hardware support, so it's kinda surprising that they're still swipe only.

Even though neither is expanding, GameStop has been on a steady decline with the sharp rise in digital sales of games.

GameStop closed hundreds of store last year and a few hundred this year. Panera hasn't.

The 100% turnover that you mentioned, which I doubt it’s actually 100% is typical of any restaurant job. Not just Panera.

Here in CA, Panera's has done a nice job in accommodating to changing COVID requirements. It offers delivery to your vehicle, and their App is well designed. It's pricing seems reasonable (at least to me), given the freshness and quality of their food. I've used Panera's across the US, and the consistency of food and service is first-rate.

it’s a true 100%, and the average restaurant is 75%. Meanwhile GameStop is 75% and the average retail store is 60%. So no, neither near average for their industry.

Kinda how I've seen Panera. It's way beyond my class level and wallet capabilities to go regularly but when I have gone I've really liked it. :p

so you do pay for and eat food you dislike?

Typically when a person chooses to drive to a restaurant, they are doing so because they like something on that restaurant's menu. But you're the exception I suppose. That makes you very special and quite the anomaly.

Usually when restaurants expand locations, it's not because their customers hate their food. It's actually the opposite.

No no no.. they buy food they dislike and immediately trash it. That’s much more sensible. It’s like a “protest” where someone buys the artist’s albums then burn them. “That’ll show them!”
