hahah .... I love it when "Aug 2009" members act like grizzled forum veterans

I love it when forum veterans act like their user IDs give them the right to scoff at the comments of anyone newer to the forum. I'm a veteran of enough forums to recognize his type; and, as STEVIEKI07 said, it doesn't take long to get sick of the whining.

*shrug* I guess so man.

I dunno, TheSpaz loves his Apple crap (like we all do) and loves posting about it (maybe more we do). Big deal.

Are icons moving over 1 pixel "important"? No, probably not. Is it a big deal that he made a thread about it? No, probably not.

In Spaz's perfect world, we would all love the iPhone as much as he does and we would all talk about it in great detail. But you guys don't want that - I guess that's where the forum has a bit of a user delta.

I, personally, think this forum *needs* a spaz, much like how I think the PC world needs hackers. Or how I feel the videogame world needs people who obsessively find every last secret and make guides/youtube videos about it.

But you don't; big deal.

I think it goes to show that even people who have been here for a couple weeks are sick of his whining.

The poster you refer to has only been here 3 days, not a couple of weeks. I find it hard to believe he could be tired of TheSpaz that quickly. I call it bandwagon mentality.

QFT. Yes, he can be irritating at times, but all one has to do is ignore him when he's made a post that irritates someone. And he does post useful information at times, whether you like him or not.

iphone.aggie

I agree. Except that just because someone just joined doesn't make them new. You can read the boards without being a member - and some people do, indeed peruse the message board for any given amount of time before they post/join. For example - I read for a month or two before creating an account....

I think I'm just gonna get a go-phone on AT&T and enjoy my $25 bill every 90 days. Now THAT'S convenience!!!

Goodbye iPhone forum. Thanks for being so nice to me all the time

How can you only pay $25 every 90 days? Do you really have nobody to call or text? Sadness.

Indeed. I've been around for a while, but I just purchased my iPhone on Friday and finally took the plunge.

Not necessarily, I do almost all communication through e-mail and MSN myself, but actually TheSpaz also said he dosen't use data, soooo...

I couldn't imagine not being able to call and text message my friends, family, and significant other.

E-mail is the same as texting but it's free and you can send files with it without paying stupid prices too, plus you don't have a stupid 160 character limit before you're charged double. It's one of the main reasons to have a iPhone IMO.

99% of my friends don't have email on their phones. Is it really that common? Plus I have unlimited SMS. And voice communication? Don't do that either?

Hey, each to their own. Most of my friends have flashy phones or stay at home out of school/work hours anyway so it's convenient for us, but clearly you have a different situation.

Voice communication for me is just annoying because you can get overheard and I get all nervous and stuff. Again that's obviously just me.

Doh! Perhaps a case would help the crack from growing by alleviating pressure from the screen. Or perhaps you want to get it repaired.

OMG, do you know how many millions of toilet germs are all over your phone now?

Mythbusters demonstrated that surprisingly toilet seats actually have the least amount of germs in the house. Shocking isn't it?

Because I used to do JUST FINE with only an iPod touch.
Then why did you get an iPhone in the first place?

I'm waiting for the new iPod touch to be announced. I'm tired of the iPhone and I find it harder and harder each day to find a reason why I'm paying so much for it.
Why would the new touch matter? If you used to do "JUST FINE" with the iPod touch, then couldn't you just switch now back to your touch?

In a few years, that post will make no sense :D
FWIW, you can always see the post date and the join date. So it's easy to compare.

that's good news. I wonder if the extra screen can be had in the Oleophobic type? The procedure itself looks quite easy in my opinion.

Oh no! Someone with different needs than you!!!

That's not sadness. Maybe some people don't really have a reason to call a lot.

I wonder if a windshield repair kit could "fix" a crack on an iphone. I've
had small cracks vanish afterwards. On my windshield of course.

Its not even me, I have never heard of anyone not making calls or texting on their cell phones. Heck my mom had a pay as you go and she was paying over $25/month in bills on it so we finally threw her on my family plan. And shes 50 years old, lol.

I can think of a few reasons why some people wouldn't use any SMS or make any calls but I am too nice to post those here :) Each to his or her own.

Honestly, TheSpaz exemplifies the iPhone fanatic within me. No, I don't volunteer my iPhone geekiness or Apple geekiness all that often, but it's in there, and it actually is nice to see someone living all of that excitement out daily.

I'll miss you Spaz.
