    Hi all,

I can't tell if this problem is software or hardware related. Anytime I log into the Mac it crashes within 10 minutes. This persisted through a full wipe and reinstall. Any help is appreciated.

Running mojave 10.14.14 on a mac pro late 2013

When I look in disk utility or Finder the only storage device present on the machine is the original 500GB disk it came with. It's formated as APFS name Macintosh HD.

Can you post a few more examples of kernel panics? Only the part from macOS Version and above is needed.

To eliminate a dying SSD, did tried to boot from an external drive? Can you do a clean install with an external drive to check if you still have KPs?

I have not tested this, if nothing can be understood from the reports I'll give it a go.

KPs with NMPI shows that it's probably a hardware problem. Non-maskable interrupts usually are caused by the CPU board, the CPU itself or RAM.

Did you run Apple Diagnostics? Apple has a support article showing how to use Apple Diagnostics

You either have a faulty GPU(s) or memory. Try reseating your memory and then running a memtest program. Also check into the repair program bsbeamer linked above

Have you tried booting into internet recovery mode (cmd-opt-r)? I'm just curious if that will make any difference.

Yes, I booted into recovery when I re-installed MacOS. Didn't seem to have any issues.

Memory seems to be fine after a reseat and memtest. I'm gonna make an appointment with the genius bar and hope they can find something wrong with it.

    Hey!

I was searching the internet for the same problem I'm having. Looks pretty similar to your situation. Did you ever figure out how to resolve this? I wonder if it has to do with Chrome because it seems like it crashes whenever the application is open.

Hope to hear from you or someone soon!

    Thanks!

I found another thread on the internet, either here on macrumors or the apple forums, that discussed Mojave 14.4 on my model of mac pro. There were tons of comment/reports about how 14.4 started causing random kernel panics and random restarts. Since you can't really downgrade the OS, I ended up just rolling back to a 14.3 time machine I took from a different computer. Not the ideal solution but I needed to get it back up and running asap.

Not sure where the link to that thread is... If I find it i'll post it here.

Sounds good! Thank you for looking for it. It's pretty annoying. Came back to my studio today to find that my computer restarted while it was asleep... Ugh.
