Holy crap, that is crazy!

I wanted a t-shirt pretty bad. A black tee with that silver X would have been very cool indeed, oh well. However, the dog tags will be useful when the war with Microsoft begins. Otherwise, I don't know what use you'd have for them.

I'll add mine to my Apple keychain. I've had it since I was 12... I went around the house and found keys that didn't open anything so I would have a reason to use it. When I thought I lost my keys on vacation I was more concerned for the Apple than for the keys!

Two more hours! I'll be heading over in one to stand in line.

"Omar"...

Omar needs to lose the iDreads and then take a large dose of Xanax.

I hope this isn't evidence that the Zappa brood is still spawning.

I'm at Clarendon right now, lots of people. Standing room only at the theatre, they're going over the new features.

You can sign up for a drawing for a free iMac, and they handed out the dog tags while standing in line.

Anyone else from here at Clarendon right now?

I'm at home now. I was third person in line at 7pm. I have pics of the lines and stuff. I'll post them after I'm done installing 10.3.

In SoHo, there are folks in the theatre (standing room only) and at the genius bar installing Panther. I guess they didn't want to wait to get home to do the install...

I would rather try installing it with a bunch of hard core mac nerds around me then going home.. trying to install it .. and have it mess up on me :-(

I just watched the Panther Preview Video on Apple.com. This has to be one of the dorkiest videos that Apple has ever produced; Omar? Is he just a little "too cool?"

Let's hope he doesn't become an official spokesperson for Apple.

Agreed...Omar is a tool.

back from the peabody store in MA,

Roosevelt Field Long Island store

Got there a little after 8 and about 50 people on line. About 20 minutes on line. Quite a few new Macs being bought. I bought an iSight, not that I really need one but what the hell. Got two sets of dog tags. All in all, very much a non- event and a much smaller crowd than I thought.

First in Line at the Chestnut Hill Mall, sweet.

Wearing my Panther dog tags right now.

At MicroCenter in KC, they gave away free Macally USB 64mb flash drives and Panther mouse pads.

I was at the King of Prussia store after the specialist store i work at had it's event. Dog tags were free when you walked in, and apparently walked out too. i have like 3 of them lol.

there was a *ton* of people there. quite surprised for it being 10:40pm when i got there.

I picked up my copy at a local Apple Reseller and they were giving out free Panther mousepads with every pre-order. They were also pawning tees, 14.95 each tee.

No dog tags.

I was surprised to see about 15 people watching some quicktime video in their little theatre they had set up. Not sure what it was for because I wasn't paying attention, but I did notice that everyone there was over the age of 55.

First in line at Keystone, IN...
Pretty non-eventful... they tried to get people to be rowdy..but nothing much happened. Wouldn't even give me a discount because I bought my cat online and had it installed already. Didn't have wireless mouse either.

Oh well. Dog tags are cool but no dogs/cats to wear them... I guess that's something for my sleeve! :)

Yay, 10.3! I do notice a snappier OS than before! :) Worth it!
