For those the own Parallels Desktop 11, which one did you buy, and why?
I'm thinking about the $99 one, business I believe. Thus I can receive the 'updates'.

I just installed a trial on my iMac. Trying to get to grips with it.

Any feedback?

Before you buy it, give Virtual Box a go. It works very well and is free :)

You do know that version 12 is now out.

Yes. But, it appears there isn't a link for download. One has to update version 11, to 12, no?

Regardless, my question was more about ALL future upgrades. If it was worth getting the subscription with the upgrade option. Thanks

I don't own parallels, but people either love it, or hate it. The hate seems to be more along the lines of the high cost at this stage.

Have you considered Virtual Box, where as that's free?

As for the value for the price, and its relative worth, I think only you can determine if its worth paying for.

Someone else mentioned Virtual Box. I'll look into it; thanks...

If you have a lot of Macs that you want to install, go with Virtual Box. Parallels is very expensive if you have a lot of Macs you want to install it on. If you have one Mac, then it comes to a choice if you want to get the additional performance and features for that price.
