I just applied public profile to my iPhone 7 plus, rebooted. Software update is downloading IPS 11 developer beta 3. Is the naming correct? I was expecting it to say public beta in software update.

Downloaded fairly quickly considering it was just released. 7+ - download is ~354mbish. I did have to toggle from the software update to general and back to get the install button to become active and work.

Installing now - good luck to all.

Do you have a dev account? Mine said pb beta 2 as the download.

Still not a huge fan of the long press/3D touch to dismiss notifications. I was hoping they would make it a bit more intuitive.

You may know this already (in which case just ignore me), and it only helps a little anyway, but rather than long/3d press then hit delete or some such button you can long/3d press and drag down in one motion to dismiss.

Ha, I actually didn’t know that. Thanks!

Well i gave it a go PB 1 was awful on my 9.7 pro and PB 2 is just as bad so i have gone back to 10.3.2 until a few more betas come out.

For information it was still laggy and slow, selecting something from control panel takes ages to load and rotation sometimes works!

Not going to put any near my 10.5

I'm confused! I thought we were already on PB2? lol

Developer Preview 3 was released on Monday. Public Beta was released today. They're actually the same software. If you have any issues with PB2 you have the benefit of the two days of pain and investigation from the DP3 users ;)

Iphone 7 and 7 Plus: no more heating so far, to be confirmed. Animations are smoother, multitasking menu is fixed.

Battery life to be confirmed, I am still afraid percentage points are going down a bit faster than expected...

I usually let battery cycle once before I make a call after a software update. I figure I’ll have a better idea tomorrow.

Also jumping on the bandwagon and confirming my device (iPhone 7) is not nearly as hot as it was running PB1.

Give the battery a chance. Always takes a reboot and couple of days to sort itself out after an update imho
