Hello all...

Trying to determine if the Sonnent Allegro USB 2.0 PCI adaptor card will reach/sustain maximum speeds of 480 MB/s in a Mirrored Door G4?

Only info I've come across is that my Mac has the 64-bit PCI bus but I can't find the PCI clock speed...? Any info would be helpful. Thank you :)

Apple's documentation (service manual) on a QuickSilver says 100MHz, so the MirroredDoor model should be the same. 100MHz * 32bit/clock = 3200Mb/s. Of course, it can't get anywhere near that due to overhead, but you can see there shouldn't be any trouble keeping up with 480Mb/s. That's an absolute max spec for USB 2.0, anyway, and it never gets there, even on a current machine.

I have a QuickSilver 933 G4 I'm going to put a card in, too, and didn't even give it a thought.
