OP, I think all your points are totally valid. However you must also point out that the AW features voice dictation and the ability to act on notifications. Those are huge advantages IMO. I also think it's worth pointing out the difference between a buzzing sensation on your wrist versus a subtle tap. I'd prefer the subtle tap. It's a more elegant solution.

I've also read several reviews that say the PT is hard to read indoors. That's a pretty big deal.

That's a very big deal if correct. That would have me returning it if I had purchased it.

I had an original pebble. Constantly dropped connection, impossible to read in low light, unreliable behavior, Fisher-Price construction. Comparing it to an Apple Watch is like comparing a Yugo to a Bugatti Veyron.

I had a Pebble.

- Screen on always = good
- battery long time = good
- waterproof = good

not being able to do anything with a notification other than read and dismiss? - BAD.

I'm almost ok with all of this. The dealbreaker for me is that the new pebble steel is just ugly to me and the price tag is close enough to the AW that I'd rather just get the AW.

When I had one I also remember the BT connection dropping.

it drops, but I suspect it is iphone's fault not pebble's... always need to reboot the iphone to fix it.

It drops. Constantly. The Apple Watch connection never does, at least mine has yet to. Night and day, regardless of the reason.

Forgot to mention how terrible the watch faces looked ugh. Only the digital ones were decent like the Casio one.
