As much as these leaks can be "fun" for many of us here I have to say I don't really appreciate all these trade secrets coming out like this. Leaking the plastic body is one thing but the multiple colors is just rude. Since the new iPhone hasn't been released or announced yet this gives Samsung a chance to copy. I liked it better when nobody knew what Apple was doing and only minimal "supposed leaks" were out on the web.

Please tell me you're trolling.
I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but Samsung phones have come in a variety of colors. There isn't anything to copy, they're ALREADY multicolored and have a plastic body.

Poor working conditions are endemic in Chinese factories. Pegatron and probably most of the suppliers to Apple are thought to be among the better ones in China. But poor working conditions still exist. It's documented and not hard to find.

I don't consider myself a bleeding heart liberal and am not about to boycott Apple products.

Everyone has a choice about where they work. But in the USA we are lucky to have a wider range of choices and more established rights. But if you can't have any sympathy for someone in a poor country trying to provide for their family then heaven help you.

Clap-Clap-Clap-Clap, nice speech, but I have a great career that unfortunately saw better days and business began to dry up for me not too long ago I ended up homeless, didn't know where my next meal was coming from. Fast forward 2 years and now I'm sitting here posting to MR on my 27" iMac. I certainly know what's it's like to be poor so heaven help U before you decide that everyone on MR is in a better place than people working in a poor country. I have been more than thankful that my work-life has gotten a lot better financially and guess what, it's still very stressful work but I am more appreciative for having it than I ever was and so should these Apple workers.

Poor employees? You realize these people choose to work at Pegatron, right? It's not as if they're being held against their will. They can work there and if they don't like it, there are thousands of other factories in the region that are hiring. The moralizing by these labor rights groups is, on the one hand, admirable, but on the other, horribly ignorant of the realities of life in emerging economies.
I guess you have never worked for a living, at the low end of the wage scale. If you did, you would not post such pie-in-the sky views of the workers paradise that low-wage China is today.

yukk colours and yukk shiny, easy to blemish plastic....if Apple has to go the plastic route why not take a leak out of Nokia book and use matt surface cases.

If it's a $450 iPhone 4S replacement, then arguably it isn't a "low-cost" iPhone. We won't know the details until Apple releases them.

Of course they "choose" to work under these conditions, to save themselves and their family from starving to death. Not sure if you can call that choice.

There's enough food to feed everyone in the world, but some countries/areas are kept starving because it makes a cheap workforce that can be exploited.

As I have sad in the past, I have nothing against plastic as a material if it's high quality, with a good design and feel.
Stronger, less prone to dents/damage and allows you to use colour and also mold different plastic together, like you see when you have soft and hard plastic molded together to give you grip/nice feel.

Saying all of that, given the photo's we've seen so far, they do seem very and I mean VERY tacky colours.

Don't get me wrong, I love bold, bright and vibrant deep colours, and I'm sure many other will also, but these look pretty nasty so far.

Perhaps it's just the lighting of the shots we've seen?

Colored Plastic... wow... who cares? The 3G and the 3GS were plastic (white & black) so I don't know what the big deal is about this. iPods just went colored so this iPhone 5C seems pretty obvious. I've wondered for a long time why they didn't have colors. I suppose until they could make them a world phone, it would be too hard to handle the different configurations with the carriers and colors. I wish they would release them already so it would no longer be considered "news".

Bummer that the "S" designation was already spoken for. These should've been called 5S so we could refer to them as iPhone 5 Skittles.

We living at a society which as great social benefit programs. Third world countries don't even have that.

China has very large population, 4x more population than US. 65% of them are living in country side. Almost all of them are lack of good educations. With food cost and cost of everything increased dramatically recently years, many of them were forced to find little paying job at cities. Even these little paying job are better than not having the job.

You at least have good education to back you up. These people don't. They can't afford to college or university nor they could go. These people faces discrimination from people living in cities and local government don't even recognizing them as part of the city. You can't go college or university without resident record.

These poor people usually worked as pure labor and unsafe working environment or they couldn't find job at all.

We should feel lucky that we living in developed nation. A person wouldn't feel for poor workers if they never in that kind of environment before. My poor uncle and aunt are those poor worker, they can't even afford sent my cousin to college. It is my family and my grandmother helped her with her college study.

It doesn't seem they have a bad job to me... They get to see all the apple products before they're released

Why don't you work there?

I like why Chinese Government isnt doing something about this. I agree that people should work in humane hours but I feel its weird we're pointing fingers at Apple (and every ****ing electronics company) instead of the chinese government

You have no idea what my educational background is nor how my life has been. Say what you want but Apple gave them a job and spilling trade secrets isn't acceptable.

A minute? It takes them a minute to apply one non-permanent plastic film?

If they're gonna produce 20 million per quarter, at that speed, they'd need 400 people just applying that one plastic film.

I don't know...

The milion dollar question

The milion dollar question

How Cheap will the iPhone 5C be .... ????

if the iPod Touch that has a 5 inch display and goes for $229 and is aluminum .. and this peach of C is plastic ...

These phones look very cheap and ugly. I cannot imagine if anyone with decent taste would get them.

Apple gave them job? Are those jobs directly from Apple? If Apple gave them job, then we should blame Apple for poor working condition.

Those worker might not even know they spilling trade secrete. Is there any trade secrete left for Apple? We known them all along before the product released.
