Mock up = final iphone ?

I think it is funny this mock-up (and it does look sweet!) has become synonym with the new iPhone... even though we have no clue if that is how it will look - just look at last years mock ups before the iPhone 5s that were around 5 month before the launch...

So.. the two-tune finishing was a failure?

Or because they are gonna rollout a "new" version every 6 months... so next round will go back to two-tune? haha.. :p

So if I would be smart enough to figure out the iPhone 5s battery volume vs the rumored iPhone 6 battery volume and assume a slight increase of energy density and small decrease of energy usage, how many hours of typical standby and talk time would that give me on the rumored iphone 6 vs iPhone 5s?

Is that a New York school district standardized testing question?

If they only introduce the next iPhone in the 4.7" form factor, won't tons of people be pissed if/when a 5.5" version comes out all of a sudden?

I know many will prefer the 4.7", others won't care, but I'm willing to bet that there will be more than enough people like me who will be royally pissed and it will become an issue for Apple if they really release a 2nd iPhone with an even bigger screen and likely better specs only a few months after, without telling us. If they don't tell us, that is.

I think they're mostly different customers to be honest. Most people who want an everyday phone to put in their pocket would be happy with 4.7", I know that's about right for me to live with. Those after a 5.5" phablet aren't as likely to be putting it in their pocket, they're more likely to be waving it around in the air, taking annoying pictures at concerts and shouting "LOOK AT ME EVERYONE, I NEED A MASSIVE SCREEN ON MY PHONE TO SHOW HOW SPECIAL I AM!". :D

I reckon the shape of the mockups will be pretty close, though I hope that colour grey isn't accurate.

That said, guessing the colour from leaked diagrams and internals is like a paleontologist guessing the colour of dinosaurs.

No the two tone flash was not a failure it's still in there they just using different technology

I'll be majorly disappointed if the design is not like this s it has really grown on me. Unless, the actual design is something completely different and mind blowing :D

It just looks like a larger iPod touch which makes sense when I first saw the new iPod touch I knew it was a preview of what future iPhones would look like

Yay big iPhones!

Side question: are we still doubled down or is that over with now?

The next rumor on this site could be that Apple is working on a flying car and a 30" laptop and you'd have someone posting the "double down."

It's the new troll identifier.
Or maybe some really believe every rumor is a fact that has leaked.

I was honestly wondering if they have eased up on that tactic seeing there could be marketing benefits in releasing "leaks".

I wouldn't doubt they would leak something on purpose for their own benefit. I'd bet they've done it before.
But so far there hasn't been anything specific as far as leaks for their plans this year. Just lots of assumptions (reportedly, likely, expected, etc.). Some may be correct. We'll see.

Apple's new motto for this next iPhone:

The NEW iPhone - the same thing again, just bigger and a little thinner.

Bigger is NOT better

Am I the only person who does not want a bigger phone? I spent a long time using the first generation of 3G phones - big clunky things. The current size of my 5S is perfect, especially the fact it easily fits in my pocket with a case.

Why are apple, seemingly, following samsung on the size thing?

One would think that the 4.7" screen at least would be at the same current cost as an iPhone. The 5.5" I can see having a higher price given that the "Phablet" sized phones are more expensive on Android.

However - I think it would be misguided of Apple to increase the price of the 4.7" upon release.

No but you will see a 17" arriving by 2015!

the 5.5 should be coming out right around the time my AT&T Next 12 months is up !

Having my Nokia 1520 has really made me like larger phones, I could live with a 4.7 in Iphone but I could never go back to a 4inch, just too small, but I'll wait for the 5.5. I usable on the ipod touch just because its not a phone, and I'm only using it to play music

No, you aren't the only one. However, you are a part of the "I underestimate the size of my pocket" demographic which is relatively small. Seriously, the Note II fits in all of my pockets, even my jeans which are relatively tight. That said, I'd probably go with the slightly smaller 4.7" iPhone.

P.S. I also manage to do something with my Note II that I'm not supposed to be able to do: Use it with one hand. My hands aren't that large either.
