Expect the parts getting leaked anytime now! :D

Can't wait for a picture of the sim card tray holder.

Here's a reminder of one from last year.

No, you aren't the only one. However, you are a part of the "I underestimate the size of my pocket" demographic which is relatively small. Seriously, the Note II fits in all of my pockets, even my jeans which are relatively tight. That said, I'd probably go with the slightly smaller 4.7" iPhone.

my iPad mini fits in a lot of my pants back pockets and all of my sweatshirts and jacket pockets. a 5.5 should fit everything.

If they only introduce the next iPhone in the 4.7" form factor, won't tons of people be pissed if/when a 5.5" version comes out all of a sudden?

I know many will prefer the 4.7", others won't care, but I'm willing to bet that there will be more than enough people like me who will be royally pissed and it will become an issue for Apple if they really release a 2nd iPhone with an even bigger screen and likely better specs only a few months after, without telling us. If they don't tell us, that is.

A 5.5" iPhone isn't coming.
I don't know why that rumor still gets credence.

Am I the only person who does not want a bigger phone? I spent a long time using the first generation of 3G phones - big clunky things. The current size of my 5S is perfect, especially the fact it easily fits in my pocket with a case.

Why are apple, seemingly, following samsung on the size thing?

Yes !!!! You are the chosen one !

Seriously though I'm on the opposite end , I can't wait for a bigger iPhone , I've been using the 5s for now and while I love it , it leaves something to be desired in comparison to bigger screens

Right, because you somehow know better?

Nothing in the history of Apple's business suggests that they will introduce 2 new phone sizes with 2 entirely new resolutions in the same year. And not even at the same time, but a few months apart. I'm sure they had a prototype 5.5" iPhone at some point in the last year, which is likely where the rumor initially came from. But all the leaks and everything in the last few months have been about the 4.7" iPhone for a reason. Because that's the one that's actually coming out, not a 5.5" one.

It would be bad business. It would help cannibalize iPad Mini sales.
It's not going to happen.

This reads weird... Is the first Foxconn supposed to be Pegatron?

A report last month also noted that Foxconn was preparing for iPhone 6 production in the second quarter of this year at its new Kunshan, China plant, as the company has recruited new workers in China to meet the desired number of orders. In addition to Pegatron, fellow Apple supplier Foxconn is also likely to aide with production.

This is excellent. Hopefully we'll be seeing some legit leaks soon.

I wish people would stop saying this. A 5.5 phone is no where near the size of a mini. I don't know why people keep comparing the two. They are two different sized devices that have two different needs.

a 5.5 iphone would hardly chew into the mini sales.

Apple isn'y going to depart from years of routine schedule and release two new iphones, months apart...That simply won't happen.

If however you believe the rumors that there will be two sizes, and one is delayed, then it would surely be a matter of announcing both at once and saying the other will be out soon, ala the white iphone4.

agreed.

Disagree -- Apple has always shown they don't fear cannibalizing their own products with new products. Too much proof to go over.

This, although I'm not sure Apple would care all that much about cannibilization of iPad Mini sales.

Another huge factor is that Apple's Android competition has basically been stagnant their latest iterations with no new features that really threaten Apple's profits. Also Android faces a prolonged transition to 64-bit chips and OSes that's looking like it will take years to coordinate. I still think the people who buy the first generation 64-bit Android phones are going to have egg on their face when it becomes clear they'll never have a supported upgrade path from a 32-bit OS to a 64-bit one, and some will not be happy about buying phones with a hyped feature only for that feature to be impossible to use.

It makes a lot more sense if Apple intends to release a 5.5 inch phone to simply wait until late 2015 if not later.

Let me get this straight. Are you claiming that Apple can only do what they have done before?

Somehow it makes me think we'll see even more parts leak.

I agree and we don't even have to go back as far as the iPhone 4. 6 months ago Apple introduced the iPad Air and the iPad Mini Retina at the same time but iPad Air got an instant release date whereas it took Apple about three more weeks to announce when the iPad Mini Retina would be available.

I'm going to wait a few months after release even though my 2 yr contract is up. Better to wait for the new displays, processes, and contract manufacturers to work out the issues as they ramp up production rates. Not to mention the new iPhones will likely have an all new antenna design.
