What’s the chances of this happening? The iPad mini isn’t too far off in size but perhaps it might gain Pencil support in its next iteration.

Is this something you would use? I mention the largest iPhone only given usability issues with smaller screen sizes.

I used the S Pen on my Note from time to time, when I had it. But the Note has special software that let you easily jot stuff down without even logging into the phone to launch an app. You can just pick up the Note and start writing on it. I don’t see Apple implementing something like that.

The iPad does this with Apple Notes already. If the iPhone Max gets pencil support, I would expect a similar experience.

That said I don’t see the iPhone getting pencil support anytime soon.

Don’t get me wrong I would love to see Pencil support on the Pro iPhones too. However, if it happens I don’t believe it would until there is 120hz displays in the iPhone and I don’t see that happening this year based on the latest rumors about the display controllers being limited supply. This year’s iPhone is already going to be in limited supply with the late start in production.
