I cant agree with you more about Sprint Service and Phones...Bay Area Love Man ! :D

Sprint in the Bay Area and especially Northern California as a whole has been a nightmare. I travel to the Mendocino Coast and Arcata and "0" Sprint/Nextel coverage. I was always borrowing my friends AT&T phones b/c they had coverage. Sprint/Nextel would drop off the face of the earth, oh but Sprint/Nextel would always send their bill on time.

Some GGB Love back at ya! :p

I switched from Sprint to AT&T as well.

I think what Sprint really lacks is Customer Service. It's just flat out horrible. They don't teach the lower level employees anything, therefore you'll get different responses from each of them and your bill is a bit of a surprise each month.

As for the Sprint network, it really is pretty advanced. They've had a digital network from the beginning. (Never analog... never any phones with static) Voice quality is very good on their network, and they have very widespread coverage... including rural areas of the USA, but their coverage tends to be very spotty.... and I think their phones tend to exaggerate how much service you actually have. You may have 5 bars outside, but take two steps into a building and suddenly you're roaming to Verizon.

But if your suddenly roaming to Verizon for free, who cares?

I can't quit laughing at this thread. I'd use a tin can and piece of string before I used Sprint.

rofl lmao!

hahah well like isaid before... it doesn't matter what you have... but i couldn't agree more...

sprint is a horrible service esp here in miami.... lol

I thought Sprint was the "best" cell phone provider form 1997-2000. Maybe it's because my med school was just 1 mile away from their World Headquarters right next to Kansas City, Kansas. I never had a dropped called in that area.QUOTE]

I have lived 5 miles from the Sprint Compound in Overland Park (Kansas City) for 10 years. I use to work for Sprint as a Programmer and had a phone through them. I never had good coverage. I could be standing in my livingroom and have no bars. They were giving me free phones and unlimited everything for $30/month and in 2004 I switched to Cingular. I didn't quit working for them until spring of '07. I think they are a poorly ran company but look at the brightside, I think T-Mobile is going to buy them later this year.

surprisingly, i'm having a good experience with sprint. good reception where i live, customer service has always helped me, and most of all, i only pay $33 a month including taxes
