If I had skipped the 15 Pro I would likely feel the same. I just find it stupid that Apple keeps changing sizes all the time just for newness sake. They just had a major redesign (their words) with the 15 Pro and made it smaller, lighter and more comfortable than the 14 Pro and 1 year later they are already going up in size again making it less comfortable to hold. Of course 100 % subjective.
Yes agree - the 16 Pro Max has become way too large IMO.

I guess a very large handed person can use the 16PM one handed....

I have a work 14 Pro Max and it's too large - it's more a 2 handed phablet..

OTOH my personal 16 Pro is just the perfect fit for my small hand.

I guess I’m just use to bigger phones, mines fits quite nicely nestled between my fingers.

I agree that there are definitely two different points of view at work there! I don’t mind having to charge my phone every night, but I don’t want it to feel like a brick in my hand. I wish they’d use aluminum again on all the phones, and keep them as thin and light as possible.
I think you are going to really like the iPhone Air next year.

Completely agree. Well, the concept that iPhones last well, not the "buy and return" thing as it always confuses me how people go "ooooo shiny new thing" and spend hundreds of $£€ without doing any research, only to change their minds later. It's cool that one can do that though. (I hope this floods the market with cheap refurbs!)

Anyway, I have an 11 which is still working well. I'm so impressed that it's lasted this long that it's advert enough for iPhones, and my next phone will definitely be an iPhone. Might be the 16 Pro, or the 15 Pro (now the same price as the 16) or even hanging on for another year.

Unlike my friends with Androids who seem to replace them often not because they just want a new phone, but because their older one is failing in some way.

I hope they get the message that making the regular Pro model larger was a mistake. The size of the 15 Pro is really nice. They could have made it even smaller while keeping the same display size with the smaller bezels. Or kept the same size and increased the display size a little bit. But nooo lets make a larger heavier phone that feels worse in the hand again similar to the 14 Pro. Sending it back saves me loads of money though. 😂
I have both size is hardly noticeable!!

The EU will likely say it’s anticompetitive that Apple has a no hassle return policy as it makes folks more likely to try out and potentially keep an iPhone. As a result, they’ll force them to have a more onerous process.
No questions asked returns are actually a consumer right in the EU for online purchases.

Indeed:

14P - 206 grams
15P - 187 grams
16P - 199 grams

14PM - 240 grams
15PM - 221 grams
16PM - 227 grams
I’m very aware of that because the weight was what got me back to the Max phone. In the 13-14 series I couldn’t stand the weight of the Max size and switched to the Pro - but you know the battery life of the Pro isn’t its strong suit.

Yes, but they’ve shown that, where Apple is concerned, they’re willing to throw logic and precedent out the window. :)

Remember, the iPad STILL does not meet the requirements of a gatekeeper device, they just figured they’d call it one anyway regardless of that the regulation they wrote says!

I like my 16PM coming from a 15PM. But I haven’t done the trade in yet, because I’m still on the fence. I’m going to keep it a bit longer, but I’m just really not sure.

There is no perceptible difference in hand between the 15 and 16. I bet people would fail a blind test. We are talking a couple of mm here. The bezels are nice. They could have made the phone 3mm smaller and had the same screen real estate. I would have preferred that. I would prefer a phone 5-8mm smaller and no bezels at all for the 16pro and I would have purchased that. We are splitting hairs though. My guess is there was some economy of cost to the screen pixels and screen ratio or something so they needed an extra couple mm. Who knows.

Why are you even reading this forum then? Of course people will report their issues with their new device that they checked out. And if it’s so bad that they decided to return the device. It‘s good info for people on the fence too. I‘m sorry if it hurts your feelings.
My comment was aimed at the people who had no intent on keeping it (despite their outward claims). Not at people who had duff units.
