"Many" would also include any of the Mini-Displayport to VGA/DVI/HDMI adapters, which take up a whole Thunderbolt port but do not daisy chain.

Yeah, but you can plug those in your external TB drive. It's really only a problem if you own more than one "end" device that doesn't daisy chain.

Unless you want to drive two external displays without buying a Thunderbolt display. Or have an external display and a TB->Ethernet adapter (assuming Apple releases one).

Edit: Another thing is that while you can daisy chain many devices to one thunderbolt port, that doesn't mean that you can't exceed the bandwidth of a single port with those devices.

16 is a bit weird though, because really, why would you want two TB ports?

So you can have 2 external monitors that aren't Thunderbolt Displays.

Or use a Thunderbolt accessory (I guess there will eventually be some) while connected to an external display that isn't a Thunderbolt Display.

Make a 5x5 board with the different things listed in the OP (and an additional 8 to give 25 total).

As you notice people saying them, fill in the space on the board - and then whoever gets bingo first wins!
