Canceled and re-ordered when the price drop hit. Mine says "Delivery Estimate: September 15, 2010 - September 22, 2010."

Mine says

Shipping Soon
Delivery Estimate: September 22, 2010 - September 29, 2010

But it changed from last night so I can no longer cancel/edit the order. It will probably ship tomorrow (or saturday? do they do saturday?) or monday at the latest and ill get it by the end of next week

I'm getting anxious. I could still cancel (I don't want to of course). I'm hoping mine ships tomorrow. I chose next day so I would get it Saturday I guess?

Ordered it minutes after it was posted on Amazon - also ordered it on my Prime account.

Did you get it for the new price or the full retail price? That's why I canceled mine. If you got it for the sale price I will kick myself! ;)

Alternative

I was going to order from amazon for price when I realized apple had a special going http://www.apple.com/recycling/ I used this and went to an apple store and turned in my old 2g nano for the discount. In the end the price was like $5 more than amazon. But that a good deal to get it on day one and not 1-3 weeks later. My 32gb iPod touch was bout $293 or $294.

ive had an amazon prime account for a short while and just ordered my touch a few minutes ago

Not Yet Shipped:
1 item - delivery estimate: September 22, 2010 - September 29, 2010

:) pretty good for a late order
btw i used amazon prime "2-day" shipping

My shipping estimate just upgraded, Originally September 14-24, then yesterday it went to September 13, now it's September 10 (tomorrow :).

Until this evening it said "preparing shipment" or something like that.

1 day shipping.

I emailed them and had them adjust the price of my original order so I didn't have to cancel. Mine will be here tomorrow (1 day shipping). I'm sure you'll get yours soon enough.

All day, I've waited to see if it'll change from "Not Yet Shipped" to "Shipping Soon" or "Preparing for Shipment"....

I don't think I've ever anticipated a product like this before...

I hope it changes tomorrow, so I can get it by Monday or Tuesday...

:(

Ugh come on! Haha. Mine's still "Not yet shipped", listed as shipping 14th-21st..

Ordered on Sept. 1 with One-day shipping (Amazon Prime)

Shipped last night at around 7:00pm from Louisville, KY.
Out for delivery already! (Pittsburgh, PA)

Anxiously awaiting.... :)

You guys should not cancel to get cheaper price. Amazon credits back the difference after shipping. When you cancel you lose your place and shipping time gets push back. Just FYI.

Not always...

Back in June I purchased a new HDD for my Mac and after I ordered it and as it was being shipped to me, the price dropped almost $10...

They didn't just change it then and there when I called Customer Svc - But I was allowed to refuse the package and order it again with the new price.

Waste of shipping cost on their part - but at least I did get it for $10 less...

(I told the rep that it didn't make sense, and she actually agreed, and made a note to tell her sup - so maybe it's changed!)

:)

Different scenario. I should've made this clear. If you PREORDERED from Amazon with set price and it went down during preorder period you will still get the difference. Your situation was different. You didn't preorder, you purchased your HDD. Amazon used to do price guaranteed for all purchases but not anymore but the preorders are still covered.

Yea mistake made here haha... Oh well. Gives me time to go find a case for the iPod Touch.

Oh okay - that is a different scenario...

Thanks for clearing that up!

I'm still waiting for my status to change...

Tick, tock, tick, tock...

I ordered on Sept. 1, and when the price dropped I emailed them about changing the price on my order. At first they said the price would change when it shipped. I didn't trust that though, so I emailed again and asked them to change the order price immediately. So they did change the price, and I kept my place in line.

My package is still out for delivery. UPS man usually drops stuff off here around 4pm.
