I'm really like you,
i have a lot of cases and non is perfect for me,
The two that i like more then the others are:
OtterBox Commuter,
Switcheasy ECLIPSE,
Those 2 are awesome,
Not perfect, But great.

In the same boat as everyone else on here. Just picked up the elago glide case in black after having 2 of the elago slim cases (like the incipio feather cases). The glide is pretty slim and fits very tight. I'm gonna try to get on the Zoogue deal when I get out of work and see how those are. Might even pick up a different color glide since it was only $10 on Amazon.

OtterBox Defender

Otterbox Commuter

Otterbox Defender here. I was not optimistic since it makes the phone slightly larger.

But, my wife bought me one...so I had to try it out. Now I really like it. It is nearly perfect. But part of the reason I like it is the OtterBox allows me to really get a good grip for photography purposes. Like resting the edge of the rubber part of the OB against a table to steady the camera. I have also modified the holster to accommodate a tripod socket (two actually).

My wife bough two OBs to get the exact color she likes for her iPhone. I use the left over parts on an older iPhone 4 I use just for video and timelapse. As a result, I have a bunch of the belt holsters and between the ones I have modified for tripod use, I always have a holster around.

But even if I did not take photos, the OB Defender is a really well made case, design, etc. it is comfortable in the hand, compared to others that hurt the hand to hold, etc. I love the holster concept because it is always on my hip or my hand. In fact, I occasionally roam around with my current iP4s (active cell phone) with the older iP4 BOTH in holsters on my hip and it works very well. I really like hooking the iphone in to it's snap holster. I KNOW it is not going to fall out of my pocket, or anything. I like how the iPhone can go either direction in the holster (I saw a style the other day copying the OB, and it would not allow that). The belt clip can swivel 180 degrees. It opens up to be a prop. It can clip on to other things. It is not too substantial to be an issue when the iPhone is not in it's spot, etc., etc.

Also, I don't normally drop stuff, but occasionally it does happen. I also do not normally get extended warranty. When buying the iP4s (after owning the iP4 as just an internet camera phone with the OtterBox), and decided against the warranty because I knew it was going to be in the OB and always around my hip or in my hand. Over the course of a year, I never dropped my iP4. But, I have dropped the iP4s 3-4 times (two for sure on concrete) since October. The case didn't even get hurt. It is not because of the case that I have been dropping it...I am just always using the iphone. Got out of the car the other day and it was in my lap...bam...hit the ground. Thankfully, the OB took the hit.

Finally, I have dealt with the company and can confirm what Dave Ramsey said in a radio broadcast...this is one top notch company. I messed up a holster...and they sent me TWO just in case I needed an extra. I was willing to pay for the replacement, but the guy said not to worry. A few months later, I had a skin that was wearing out...same deal...they sent me two.

SOLID deal, all the way around.

Somebody mentioned LifeProof. Perhaps...but just be sure you don't plan to take it off. The OB is not the easiest Off/ON, but at least it does come off quickly. And, plan to get an extension cable for your iphone connection (ones with the real apple connector) because plugging in the sync cord is going to be a PITA!

BTW, this is not a commercial nor paid endorsement for OB...just a happy customer. Any thing else is a risk.

I believe an invisible shield front and back and an Apple bumper is perfect. Or the ultimate is the Element pro spectra bumper.

Thank you for the lengthy review! I am not really interested in a Otterbox at this time but I am sure anyone who is on the fence about getting one will take a lot of valuable information from your post!

Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

The iPhone looks great.

So you want to protect it.

So you buy a case.

But when you put the phone in the case, it doesn't look as good.

So you remove the case.

And the iPhone looks great.

So you want to protect it......

It will never end

I rotate between 3 cases right now or go naked

Pick a few you like and stop visiting this forum :D:eek:

I have 3 cases that I use at the moment:

Exec Field Magpul
Morphie Juice battery pack case
Naked phone with Sena leather pouch

Mostly I use the Magpul.

I have others too, a NGP and a leather feather type case. But I'm retiring them at the moment.

This is the way I avoid being OCD about them. Just knowing that I will rotate them.

Exactly what I'm saying

My rotation...

Foliage Magpul Field case
Gunmetal Incase Birds Nest Snap case
Infinity White SGP Ultra Thin case

All 3 looks great on the white 4s and all work with Lucky Lab spectra wraps, and front/back screen protectors.

I got tons of other cases but they are Goodwill worthy

If not those 3 cases, I go naked too

Point being, there is so perfect case

I keep thinking in my mind that if I went ahead and got a Element Vapor Comp I would be happy with it and not feel the need to buy anymore cases. Lol, this thread is starting to make me think that isnt going to be a true possibility.

I have been trying to find the perfect case or combination for a while now and I definitely think I have found it.

Mophie juice pack air, & Sena leather pouch.

For days I know I'm going to be out all day I'll take my mophie with me. (Lately I've just left it on even at home and it's beginning to be my normal case) And my Sena pouch I'll use normally at home or if I'm just going out for a few hours.

Can anyone tell me their thoughts on the Otter box Reflex case? I'm considering picking that up

I like the case, its good and protective and fairly slim, however with my power support screen shield it wants to bubble at the sides, which sucks, other screen shields haven't bubbled. I think the PS ones are a bit thicker. Other than that I don't really have any other complaints about it.

This. haha...

everyone should try a fake case... ;)

ha! this post is underappreciated here

I really want to post my collection but I haven't got a clue how to attach pictures.

Upload them to tinypic and paste the subsequent link back here in your post. Try and get a few cases in each image though or it will take you forever. Lol

A simplifier way. When you create a new post, scroll down to Additonal Options and click on Manage Attachments. This will allow you to upload files/ photos with extensions (bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip) from your computer.

It allows multiple attachment uploads.

I believe that I finally found mine. The Rokform v3 case. Fits amazing and I love the uniqueness. Rocking the Orange on White IP4. Seeing that I live in Syracuse, it is perfect. :)

I was looking at those Rokforms. I was thinking of getting the Fusion or whatever it is called. Did you get any "attachments" for the V3?

They have a stand that is bad ass, but a bit pricey.

I tried going naked for 2 days but couldn't stand it.

It's too uncomfortable (edges are too sharp), too thin, and too slippery (especially when typing with two hands).

I agree thought naked looks best, hands down. But it's just not practical.

Back to my SGP Neo Hybrid II.

Just the basics that came in the package. I also got my eye on the stand. Nice little tax return present for me I think.
