Has anyone seen this on an iPhone before? I think some water got in through the side volume buttons.

Is this permanent damage or will it disappear over time?

Top left corner, iPhone 6 Plus:

How much do you reckon Apple would charge to replace the backlight? I’d imagine it would be cheaper than replacing the LCD panel?

Can anyone comment on the quality of third-party backlights for replacement?

    Cheers!

It would require the whole screen replacement. Cost can be found on Apple’s country specific website.

Alright thanks for your help. Just checked and it’s $228 for my iPhone here in Australia.

I think I will just leave it as is for now. :)

Yeah for $228 I'd probably try to live with that too. My 6+ had one side a little darker than the other but nothing like in your pic. I learned to live with it in less than a few days. Good luck!

There is no saying what the rate will be, but the damage will grow the more use the device gets.
