A Pro Max Only user since iPhone 13 Pro Max, the Air feels like a fresh breath of air. I can only imagine that I was carrying more power than required in my pocket, and that no matter how strong the A-series chips are, they cannot match the computing of the M-series. And no matter how large the screen is, it cannot match the iPad or Mac in real productivity.

My Air sits at the forefront of portable power, followed by my M4 iPad Pro, which is what I would pick for computing.

The 256 GB storage is enough for me, though I’ve used 1 TB forever. It always seemed like a liability to fill that extra storage, now it feels enough.

And surprisingly, the single camera is good enough, as I would always prefer the best sensor, rather than a compromised telephoto. I sometimes miss the ultra wide, though those moments are now rare.

Actually, I do believe the A18 Pro (iPhone 16 Pro) matches M1 already.

That said, the smaller screen limits productivity.
