from the picture, it looks like a 38mm, but the instagram video makes it seem like a 42mm.

Any thoughts?

Yeah nothing would be worse than the face constantly lighting up at every slight movement or turn of the wrist. I like that the action must be deliberate. But it needs to work like it does in this video otherwise people will be incredibly annoyed.

Exactly. If turning on the watch was any less deliberate, it would come on with me doing pretty much anything with my hands. That would KILL the battery.

Celebrity Apple Watch Freebies

Wonder if Apple gave President Obama an Apple Watch . . . doesn't get too much of a higher profile than the highest position in the country

With all the fuss over whether or not the Edition collection was a wise decision, it's telling that the first watch seen worn by a non-Apple employee or reporter, has purchased the hotly contested version. Although, since he has it before the official release, he might not have had to buy it, simply show it off for publicity.

"Purchased". You so funny! Anyone you see with a Watch before 4/24 were given freebies to advertise.

Why do all gen1 Apple products have rough on-off animations?

It took 7 iOS revisions to make the sleep/wake action fade up and down rather than pop on and off. It's weird to see it pop on like that after two years of fade up/down on iOS.

wonder if there will be a 'sensitivity' setting. I really dont want to have to turn my wrist vertically to see the message / notification (or if those turn on the screen automatically)
IE: How do I check the time (or notification) while at dinner without abruptly turning my wrist up and towards my face. this is supposed to be incognito...

You can also touch the screen or the crown and you can see the time

I'd point out that he has 113,000 plus likes. So if they just gave him the watch they got a hell of a deal.
