I got excited and then saw a subscription so it's a "yeah nah" from me.
Wow I thought the same thing so I updated my LG C2 and now it won't turn off. Do you know how to fix this? it just displays a picture when I turn it off? Granted I couldn't find my remote cause I haven't used it since I bought the tv so I had to do all of this with the LG remote app which doesn't work after the update. I ordered a new remote and unplugged the tv for now. All this trouble makes the hue sync box well worth its price. I deeply regret connecting this tv to my internet in the first place. So disappointed I have the lg g3 2023 model and originally they said it would work on any model with webos24 including the 2023 one that now has webos24 but today they stated its only available for the newer 2024 models only, terrible move from lg and hue
This would be a great new TV gimmick; RGB LEDs built directly into the back of TVs… The more expensive the TV, the brighter and more color accurate LEDs it has. 🤔
i saw this aesthetic in 2016... is this the new neon lights under the car that was popular 2 decades ago:I have always wondered: is this actually appealing? To the extent that it is worth paying significant money for?
Agreed.. If having lots of weird lights were good, then movie theatres would do the same.. Max darkness with an OLED monitor is the best combination... Anything else is noise and distraction only.I would rather have no lights.
Exactly. We have two Hue light strips - one behind the sofa and one in the garden, and only use them for music. Using the iLightShow iOS app. Watching TV with lighting effects sounds both cool and annoying 😂I would rather have no lights.
I agree. It hits different.Agreed.. If having lots of weird lights were good, then movie theatres would do the same.. Max darkness with an OLED monitor is the best combination... Anything else is noise and distraction only.
Yeah. It's one of those things where it seems fascinating but it actually isn't.Exactly. We have two Hue light strips - one behind the sofa and one in the garden, and only use them for music. Using the iLightShow iOS app. Watching TV with lighting effects sounds both cool and annoying 😂
I tried the sync box before but I always find the color changes distracting. To avoid eye strain I just set the lightstrip behind the tv to 50% brightness and blue color light that's constantly on while watching in a dark room.
Same! I was considering buying the Hue Sync box just recently, but worried that it would turn into more of an expensive gimmick after month or two. So I never bothered. The thought of doing this through an app on my LG TV sounds awesome. But not at those prices!I got excited and then saw a subscription so it's a "yeah nah" from me.
Behind my TV is a small light with a "warm white" hue bulb in it. I like it - I don't want colours flashing around.I have always wondered: is this actually appealing? To the extent that it is worth paying significant money for?
If I want flashing lights I go to the local discotheque 🕺Behind my TV is a small light with a "warm white" hue bulb in it. I like it - I don't want colours flashing around.
If I had that, I'd turn the TV off and put some dance music on 😁
Well, movie theaters don't have a visible wall behind the screen the way TVs have (until we get full-wall TVs, at least).Agreed.. If having lots of weird lights were good, then movie theatres would do the same.. Max darkness with an OLED monitor is the best combination... Anything else is noise and distraction only.
Why, what are they going to do? Tell streaming services/broadcasters what people are actually watching? You would need to connect your TV to the internet to use this. Does anyone trust the TV manufacturers that much?
We only stream content to our TV, so would be a bit tricky not to be connected. You would need to connect your TV to the internet to use this. Does anyone trust the TV manufacturers that much?
