LG KU990 "Viewty"

Had a 5mp camera, front/back cameras, both of which were better spec-ed than the iPhone 3G at the time.

It also had a nice candy bar design not unlike the iPhone 4.

But the UI/touch screen & performance were the laggiest ever.

Let's see, on my personal line I got my iPhone 3G when it launched and got the iPhone 4 when launched. Before that I had a nokia n75, samsung blackjack the year before that, samsung blade a900 before that, motorola flip phone, samsung flip phone, moto flip phone (had a plug in camera and COLOR screen! I was soo cool), a nokia, a nokia, a nokia, and another nokia. So from 2000-2008 I went through 10 cell phones, and since then only 2 iPhones, I actually made it to the end of my contract with upgrading this past year and will probably again with the ip4.

Now, my business line which has no iPhone, that's a different story. Rigt now it's a palm pre plus, before that it was a blackberry tourch, Nokia 6655, moto razr2, moto krazr, moto razr. That's 5 phones from 2006-2010.

Ah.. time to go down memory lane. I was such a phone swapping whore, it wasn't funny, at least until the iPhones.

Started with Nokia dumbphones:

1999-2000 - Nokia 3210 -> 7110 -> 8210 -> 8850
2001 - tried out Sony Ericsson t68i
2002-2004 - back to Nokia 7210 -> 7250 -> 7250i -> 6630 & 8910 -> 8910i
2005-2006 - Enter the smarterphone: Sony Ericsson P900 -> P910i -> P910a
2006-2007 - experimented with windows mobile (ugh) : Cingular 8525 -> Samsung BlackJack II (SGH-i617)

2007 - Apple iPhone
2008 - Apple iPhone 3G (tried Blackberry Bold 9000 - left to rot in drawer)
2009 - Apple iPhone 3GS (tried Blackberry Bold 9700 - finally figured out not a blackberry fan at all)
2010 - Apple iPhone 4

After all that... it's the iPhone family that has kept me the happiest!

Just gonna quote myself from a similar thread-> (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/993616/)

2006: LG KG800 Chocolate.

It was okay, but man that first iPhone was sooooo much better.

Then it was an iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 4, each on launch day.

Like many of us, I skipped the 3GS.

I got my first phone when 10; it was crappy little flip phone with camera from LG. Then at age 12 I upgraded to the pantech duo but windows mobile sucked and was very slow so I upgraded to the iPhone 3GS when I was 13 and then order the iPhone 4 on July 23 while I was still 13. Thats my phone history so far :) :apple: :cool: :rolleyes:

2nd: Sony Ericsson w810i - Used for 5 years (It was one solid phone) - Still Works & Modded
3rd: iPhone 3GS - Used for 9 months (Sold it)
4th: iPhone 4 - Current

SE K700
SE K750
Samsung D 900

All of which were brilliant phones. Cept the k750, the stupid joystick button stopped working after a year or so.

Htc lover lol

They make great hardware. The earlier models were a little glitchy but back in the pre-iphone era these were the cutting edge. My hatred for AT&T kept an iphone out of my hands for many years. I still wouldn't have one if not for the pre-paid ipad sim.
