Ahhh the good old days. Order from Sears catalog and in 3 or 4 months you got your item via wagon train from east coast. No updates, no tracking, no computers. Just a nice surprise one day.

Fast forward to today.

Order it and start hanging out on UPS tracking site, and checking aircraft departure schedules in flight tracker. Obsess over computers not updating each phone's location minute by minute, because we all know computer systems interfaced with humans are flawless with data. Then miss delivery because you were in bathroom and couldn't answer the door before driver leaves as you run after truck, TP streaming behind you.

Progress ???? Or OCD on steroids.

Still preparing for shipment for 9/25 delivery and I'm not worried. Most likely I won't get it until late in the day Friday anyway.

I am betting that Apple has an agreement with UPS to not post the tracking numbers until either late today or tomorrow so we do not hammer the UPS tracking system. I got one that has left Alaska and one that has left China, both ordered at the same time! I have seen this many times as we go through this with ever iPhone introduction!

99.9% will have their phones delivered on Friday so sit back and relax and let UPS do what they do best!

Simply use the track by reference in UPS tracking. Put in your phone number, zip code and country being delivered to and it will give you tracking. Mine has been in transit to Harrisburg PA for the last three days.

People often forget that these warehouses are designed to have the goods flow through them, not have them stored for days on end. Ideally, Fedex and UPS want items arriving just before they need to send them out to clients, not sit there for several days.

Exactly. Hopefully by now everyone has received their notifications. I went to bed last night around 11 PM EDT and it was preparing for shipment. When I woke up this morning my phones were in Louisville KY. In reality, it had be traveling for the last few days.
