Superb photo, Kayes. I saw 105mm as the focal length and figured you were using the VR macro prime lens of that length. At any rate, you had a very cooperative butterfly! :)

Doylem, the woman in your last two photos must have thought you were stalking her! Or maybe she's a very cooperative friend. ;)

More from my macro lens:

Worry not, she's a chum. And co-operative (well, I had the car keys... ;)).

It was good to be out 'on the tops', though big, bland, blue skies are not my thing for photography. Too much light, 'flooding' the scene, and too little direction...

Same guy in Salzburg from last night, just a different angle. C&C still welcome, even if it's just comparing the two photos.

hi Phrasikeleia, you are right there. For that day's shoot I took along 2 lenses, the 70-300 and also the 105 Micro VR. I did use the 105 Micro for that shot :)

NY Auto Show

Just got back a little while ago and sorting through my 7 Gigs worth of photos from the show. Thought this one was framed kinda neat so I cropped and thought I would get some opinions on it.

This is an early draft of a project I'm working on. It contains a lot of post production, 4 images have been used so far. There is still another element that will be shot in studio. I also uploaded the original to my flickr site in case anyone wanted to see the before.

Hey all, I haven't posted for a while but kept watching what you've been up to.

Took this at the weekend with my boy (yes he needs his hair cut.) Horizon isn't level but I couldn't straighten it without cropping hair or shoes. I took about a dozen pictures while pushing the swing without looking through the view finder. Getting it roughly in focus was problematic too!
