Fantastic shots all round. Haven't been on for a while so quite enjoying working through the backlog! This was taken a while back.

Otter - is this high-key the result of exposure values, lighting, or both? I ask because the image suggests a single light source (bottom right?).

The flowers are inside a DIY lightbox with a single 580 EX II on the right. There was a white reflector on the left and a white background. The high-key effect is primarily lighting. I'd like to say I planned it but it was really a 'mistake' as I was setting up the light and taking some test shots and initially had the flash set too high.

Fantastic shots by everyone!

I had the rare opportunity to have an ant pose for me for more than a split second. I had time to fetch my macro lens and extension tubes, and this was the resulting pic:

100mm f2.8 macro lens + MR-14 EX Ring Lite + 68mm Kenko extension tubes @ aprox 2:1 magnification.
F11, 1/200, ISO 200, Manual Focus, no cropping.
