A reverse ring macro shot of my finger. I was actually trying to shoot a feather close up and my finger got in the way of the lens by accident (with the Nikkor 35mm G lens reversed, you have to control the aperture manually). Quickly I changed my intended shot to my left index finger. What I love about the shot aside from the skin texture is how looking quickly my finger resembles a moon or planet in deep space, helped by the black background. Maybe I'm just crazy, who knows?

Wow, at first glance I thought that was taken with the MP-E 65mm 1-5x macro lens... That's amazing that you were able to capture that with the 60mm macro lens!!

It was a heavy crop thats the only reason its as close as it is, but thanks for the compliment.

Mine for today.

You looking at me!

This shot from tonight does NOT do the experience justice.
I have never seen anything like it. We have had nice grey days because of the Icelandic interruption :) and tonight it broke. I mean this shot is the tail end. Seeing a wall of clouds just move away with blue sky after them was just surreal.

Fantastic capture. That's one angry looking screensaver... ;)

Sculpture in front of the PLU library. I've shot this before, but I like this better.

Just simply awesome.

First light in another country churchyard...

I really love how the sunlit headstones are set apart from the dark Medieval church. Excellent!

not crazy at all. it makes me think of a labyrinth. black and white works veryvery well with this. the texture is fantastic.

I expected more from the sunsets due to the Volcanic ash in the atmosphere but this was as good as it got.... Turnberry Lighthouse againl.

Jumping for joy...

A friends pup named Shadow in the act of trying to catch a frizbee and missing. I just could not catch a shot with him close to catching it since he was learning as was his master in throwing it.

This turned out really well. The b/w works here. The limited depth of field and the curved shapes and texture make me stop and look at it.

Quite the dramatic scene, and you did a great job photographing it. I wish I could have seen that transition. I have seen it the other way around, with the wall of clouds chasing the blue away, but not this way.
I really like this black and white treatment here. The texture is perfect, and the rain gives it that something extra. It does seem just a little bit leaning to the right... barely by maybe a degree or so. If that were just nudged a bit straighter in PP it would be perfect. Maybe it's just my own crooked vision... ;)

Glad to see you back posting pics these days. This is a nice one, the sentinel waiting for "the" arrival-- a quiet before the storm feeling.
Okay, this one's just freakin' scaring me. Ominous as hell!! Lord of the Rings character, or maybe even an entry to a temple of dark forces... I really like it, BTW!! :)

I want to do a few small edits on it but I can't yet because my mac mini is incapable of loading this image (1GB ram) without crashing, I will have to wait for my new Macbook Pro to get here :(

Anyway what do you guys think?

What is this? Anyway nice shot..

Maybe it's because I took off my snow tires yesterday, but it snowed over night and I drove in and out of snow on my way to Barrie today. The sky has been really gray, but broke while I was walking by the lake. This sculpture is at least 15 meters high and is constructed with metal pieces hanging and on pivots. I tried to get the sun in the oval but the two halves kept rocking in the wind. It breaks the rhythm but the sky is so dark it adds that ominous feel. Thanks for the feedback.

Spring is coming... SLOWLY over here but with the snow finally melted these small flowers appeared within a few days from the ground...
