Sandfall.

I think this is the only shot I was able to use a single exposure, even though I bracketed. All the others had too great a range of light vs shadows to capture acceptably with one exposure.

Love it. Keep them coming.

Waiting....

I like the repetition on this one.

Have been quiet on here due to many things, including going through a rough time.

Depression session #1 - Self Portrait.

This is what borderline personality disorder looks like.

This is what anxiety, anguish, depression, paranoia, insecurity, low self esteem and fear of abandonment looks like.

This is what love, hope, strength and determination looks like.

Be kind to each other, people. You never know what others are struggling with beneath the surface. ❤️

Sorry to hear that. Hope things are on the up.
Life is tough. But so are we!

Here is the other half of yesterday's. That little trail above the cloud is where the booster rockets are ejected and return to earth. They use to just splash into the sea, but now they have perfected soft landings and two returned to the launch complex where could easily be seen as the fire rockets to give just enough lift to slow down, and since only have 2 pads, the third rocket landed on a ship.

I am going to have to make the trip for the 5 mile viewing of a launch (and battle the traffic afterwards) with the returning rockets guided home. Night launches are particularly spectacular. Tomorrow will post a night flight of a shuttle launch.

Here's hoping for better days ahead for you. You certainly have all of us here at POTD pulling for you! Stay well, amigo!

Reflecting on the prior 2 day's rocket launch photos taken from my home 35 miles away, noted need to go to a launch where there is easy public access with 5 mile viewing lining US 1 and the open unobstructed view across the waterway - not the on-site lottery system for the $100+ seat. Also, repeating a 'reasonable hour' night shot (no 3AM launches) as is so different than day launches, and today would have the added bonus of the booster rockets lighting up the sky as the return to the launch complex for a soft landing rather than splashing in the sea.

Today's photo was taken Nov 2008 at 8:59PM on a 6mp Nikon D40 with a 200mm lens. With the changes over 11 years, just imagine a 42mp Sony with the enhanced dynamic range and a slightly longer lens.
