Very nice image and a sweet dog...
As suggested I added some "eye power" to this image and it does show more of the dogs personality. Used Nik's Viveza2 to bring out the eyes. Hope you don't mind my tweaking...

+1 Yah, just basic curves and some saturation sliders. Nothing huge. I am really loving the 24-70 though. So glad I bought it! : ) I really want a super telephoto someday soon though, I envy you guys on your long shots in this thread!
It's tough warranting a $6k drop on a 500mm telephoto lens. Desirable, but eh, SO much.
