I haven't been here for a couple weeks and there's been some great photos posted during that time, too many to mention everyone but I will say some of the landscape by Phrasikleia are just stunning.

This one is from the Moriones Festival on the Philippine island of Marinduque. A week-long celebration occurring every holy week, the festival is loosely based around the story of Longinus, a Roman soldier whose blind eye was healed by a drop of the holy blood of Jesus. His subsequent conversion upset his Roman buddies who promptly relieved him of his head.

During the festival, participants dress up in Roman gladiator costumes and partake in numerous re-enactments of the Longinus story, costume contests, candlelight processions, and various other activities. The big finale is a passion play that winds through the town streets.

I was walking around Wallace, ID yesterday evening and found a band playing.

This is great. The fog/mist/clouds really give this a surreal quality.

I'm going to share a re-edit of the one I shared yesterday. When I took this shot, I was anticipating it to be more of a monochrome scene. When I processed it my first attempt at B&W didn't turn out as good as the color. I've worked on it some more and came up with this that is more like I envisioned.
