Not an MG, not a Mini. Some are getting close. I will post another photo tomorrow whether or not someone comes up with the answer.

The blue car appears to be a lotus Elan Plus 2 with the turn signal located next to the pop-headlights. However, the mirror is confusing. Obviously a sports car based on the seats, but the stylized dual under mount, while suggest luxury more than sport, most vehicles using a dual mount mirror attach from the side rather than bottom.

My 11YO says it's a Porsche Carrera GT. But we don't know what the little blue car is still.
WINNER! Give your son a hi 5! Now tell me what the blue car is. BTW, the blue car is still lurking in the background.

Nope on the blue car, not a Lotus.

From the earlier hint, noted was from same company, would have to be the Porsche 914. During the era of pop-up headlights, most designs maintained a smooth slope with turn signals integrated into or under the bumper. The Porsche and Lotus were one of the few that departed from that design philosophy.

On the way back to the train...road block, and enjoying the fun. Caught the next train.

Name that car. There is a clue.

Without reading too much into other posts, I’m gonna say it’s at least Porsche brand.
It’s obviously something in a showroom, possibly museum; those look like “Porsche” style curves; the blue car in the mirror looks like an older Porsche; and that silver paint could be a Porsche silver paint. It’s definitely not American!

Edit: I see the updated post above - sweet! I at least got the brand!
It’s definitely a 914 in the background. (Blue car)
