During the era of pop-up headlights, most designs maintained a smooth slope with turn signals integrated into or under the bumper. The Porsche and Lotus were one of the few that departed from that design philosophy.

To everyone who chimed in with their answers, thank you. I hope you enjoyed the "hunt". I'll post a couple of photos of the Carrera GT a bit later but on to another question. What's this one? Should be way easier, especially for"apple fanboy". I'll give the backstory on these and a few more later. Might be interesting, might not.

Now that must be the 919 hybrid racer? Is this a Porsche museum or a very fancy dealership??

Winner! Porsche 919.

Not a “fancy dearlership” but kind of a museum. My wife gave me a super cool anniversary gift (#37 but who’s counting) of a Porsche Driving Experience. Porsche has 3 sites in the US where they have Porsche Experience Centers. They are located in Atlanta, GA; Carson, CA; and Birmingham, AL. Atlanta is 240 miles up the road from Savanna, GA where I live…no brainer plus one daughter and one son live there. Had lunch with the son. Anyway, you redeem your gift certificate for a driving experience in the Porsche of your choice. You might also want to think about taking their $50 insurance which reduces your liability after you bin the car from 10 or 20k to $2,000. Needless to say I opted for the insurance. Spoiler, I didn’t need it. I chose a 2019 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E Hybrid. Hmm, why not something more sporting? Well, I drive an S4 and wanted a sedan with awd so I could possibly transfer lessons learned. Didn’t hurt that it was a hybrid and had about 680 hp (a bit more than double the hp of my S4). As such it is number 3 on the hp list of current consumer Porsches. Anyway, you get your driving coach, the car and their tracks for about 1.5 hrs. Pretty interesting. They have a handling course, autocross section, launch pad, wet handling, and low friction handling course. You alternate amongst them all with the other drivers so no one is bumping heads. Let me tell you that the Panamera is the business. It is after all a Porsche. You don’t get to pussyfoot around, you are encouraged to “hammer it” and that thing can fly. All was an absolute blast. I was a bit unnerved by the “launch pad”. It was frightening. I asked my instructor if it was damaging the drivetrain doing multiple launches and he said, “no, no problem”. Nice to have but can’t see a real reason for having launch control. At the end of the session the instructor offers you a ride along on 3 hot laps. They were just a wee bit faster than my laps. I wish I had the forethought to use my phone to video his laps. Maybe next time. The center does have a bit of museum and they also have a restoration garage and I believe you can take delivery of your new Porsche there too. Oh yes, they do have an off road course too. VERY professionally run as you might expect from Porsche. I’d recommend it to any one who has an interest in cars. Awesome gift for your significant other. Cheers

Fork in Lac Leman (Lake Geneva). Vevey, CH
I had taken this several years ago but it was a nasty overcast day. Returned this year with great weather and was on my shortlist. Almost couldn't get it as Verey had it's one every 20 years Fete de Vignerons and had built temporary exhibits/bars along the shoreline and into the water. Just able to get this angle between them.
