As a long time photographer, (got my degree in photo science at RIT 1964) I agree, I have not "Liked" many pics because the horizon was not level. Oceans, lakes and ponds will always have level horizons. This is a great shot. Only one thing kept me from giving it a heart. The horizon line makes me a bit dizzy to look at it. Straighten that up to even, and it's not just a great shot...but a perfect shot. View attachment 2535628
I am a retired Navy photographer and catch things like that. If you don't appreciate the critique, I apologize. Please stay safe and have a good day.☺️
I attached a copy of your photo with the horizon line evened to show what I mean. It is a really nice photo!
Bear had to check out every Chewy box when I got a new one.
Looks great! As a very amateur photographer I'm always open to advice from the pros. When I bought my first "real" camera (Minolta X700) a good friend who shot professionally gave me a few key tips, and level horizons was one. We lived in Maine, so LOTS of lake and ocean shots made that invaluable to know. It's stuck in my head ever since.Pretty gulls, all in a row. On the banks of the St. Clair River. Port Huron, MI. 2025

Agreed on horizon lines. In one of my former lives I was a draftsman and skewed HLs drive me bonkers. Especially as they are so easy to edit if they did not come out of the camera bang on.As a long time photographer, (got my degree in photo science at RIT 1964) I agree, I have not "Liked" many pics because the horizon was not level.
