I'm doubly amazed at this photo! My shots (in the exact same corridor) were really blurry with the Canon Powershot G2 I took along, and here you took it with your iPhone!
If others can post pictures of their cats ( cooked or not cooked ), I can show

One of my favorite panoramas... taken from my 2006 vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park. For anyone who has (or wants to go there), this panorama was taken from Trail Ridge Road.
It's a shame I don't have my pictures from this vacation anymore... they were lost when the family Dell laptop crapped out on us and we had to restore it... I didn't have my pictures backed up anywhere.
I'm actually really pissed about it now (I was like 15 at the time when I took the images), because I would have liked to get this printed...

Really nice shots orangeillini14 and thr33face - I particularly like the DoF on the lavender.

Great shot... looks like a place you could go back to again and again, and capture those mountains at dawn and dusk...

; I didn't imagine anyone else would share my little hobby. I like the way that three dimensions become two. Maybe I'll incorporate them into a collage some day...Really like this. The background shape could be just about anything: a tree, a face, a logo, some kind of punctuation...

I have a realy big problems taking good landscape photos.
Should be able to take better photos with my setup, so it's probably my lack of skill.
The photo below was one of the better ones i took today, but i'm not 100% happy about it.
First when i take photos i get to much sky and foreground and have to crop the picture alot, leading to lower picture quality.
Then i don't get the sharpness i want in the photo, can it be that i use manual focus and no tripod?
Would love some tips to improve and any homepages or books worth reading.
As usual a lot of the pictures you post here are awesome

What was it about this particular landscape that caught your eye? It's dificult to tell. You have a very narrow strip of land... plus lots of sky and lots of water (with, presumably, lots more sky and water that you've cropped out).
In most landscape shots, think about planes: close-up, middle-distance, horizon.
Sharpness? Well, 1/50 sec seems low. 1/125 or faster would be better... and a tripod would be best of all (especially in low light)...
