thanks for the feedback, Phrasikleia, regarding the baby swing. I have other angles of it on my my www.nuwomb.com site. I stll have a few more to put up of it. I find things like it fascinating.
I'm not sure I really like the way the store looks so urban ghetto using HDR but then the houses in the background look so suburban.
Some of the photos I took came out a bit 'flat'. I am thinking of getting a polarizing lens, I hear they give shots a bit of lift.
While a polariser can be useful near water (for getting rid of unwanted reflections), what's making your shot flat is just lack of light... that's all.
I tried to stop taking pictures of sheep... but he posed...

Wow. Really lovely photo. Was any post-processing necessary? I'm wishing you had kept the EXIF data in the photo.
I actually brightened it up slightly in Lightroom as it was a very dark day

After seeing all the HDRs in this thread and all the cool things it does for architecture, I felt I just had to try and see if HDR works for macros. Here's my try at a dragonfly...

To see the difference between the original and the HDR, here's the original. It's overexposed, so thank goodness I shoot in RAW!

I'm a primarily JPEG shooter, maybe it's time to convert.

Mine is bit monotone in color, but it was that kind of morning.

I don't normally take "Landscape" shot's with the camera in "Portrait" orientation I always think its a landscape so it should be that way round, however this is one i took yesterday that I think works ok.

Fantastic macro shot, great detail and the hdr is subtle enough just to act as an enhancement to the image rather than a complete rework of the image.
While a polariser can be useful near water (for getting rid of unwanted reflections), what's making your shot flat is just lack of light... that's all.
