Thanks... It wasn't one of those early morning mists that gets 'burnt off' when the sun comes out (we get a few days like that, this time of year). It was more of an all-day fog, shot about noon...
Wow, thank goodness you got your DSLR with you :)

The first one is supposed to be an elephant!
Lol, so what is it suppose to be?

Qwest905, wow that is a very good aperture f2.8, what lens are you using?
and how much editing you did to your photo? It look ridiculously clean at ISO1600.

i was using a canon 35L f1.4

didn't do much editing just unsharpen mask and resize...nothing much really

5d is great at 1600

thanks for the feedback, Phrasikleia, regarding the baby swing. I have other angles of it on my my www.nuwomb.com site. I stll have a few more to put up of it. I find things like it fascinating.

I'm not sure I really like the way the store looks so urban ghetto using HDR but then the houses in the background look so suburban.

Some of the photos I took came out a bit 'flat'. I am thinking of getting a polarizing lens, I hear they give shots a bit of lift.

While a polariser can be useful near water (for getting rid of unwanted reflections), what's making your shot flat is just lack of light... that's all. :)

I tried to stop taking pictures of sheep... but he posed...

After seeing all the HDRs in this thread and all the cool things it does for architecture, I felt I just had to try and see if HDR works for macros. Here's my try at a dragonfly...

Thanks SayCheese! I guess it's "my" studio...though I don't own the house it's in hahaha (I'm 15). Here's a couple pictures of it in action (click to view large)

and my photo for today...same model - he's pretty amazing with his cards.

Yay for avoiding homework!

I didn't notice the severity of the lights until it was too late. :(
any suggestions?

That was Gorgous

Fantastic work again guy's , looks like December has got off to a great start :)

I don't normally take "Landscape" shot's with the camera in "Portrait" orientation I always think its a landscape so it should be that way round, however this is one i took yesterday that I think works ok.

Gorgeous image! I like the way you were able to capture the color shift gradations from top to bottom.

Mine is bit monotone in color, but it was that kind of morning. :D

Fantastic macro shot, great detail and the hdr is subtle enough just to act as an enhancement to the image rather than a complete rework of the image.
